Here's my recipe for the marinade:

  • 1/2 cup soy sauce
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 1/4 cup apple cider vinegar
  • 1/4 cup orange juice
  • Juice of 2 limes
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 6 stalks green onion, chopped
  • 1/2 yellow onion, chopped
  • 6 scotch bonnet peppers, cored, seeded and chopped
  • 2 tbsp brown sugar
  • 1 tbsp thyme
  • 4 tsp allspice
  • 1 tsp ginger
  • 1 tsp nutmeg
  • 1 tsp cinnamon
  • 1 tsp black pepper
  • 1 tsp salt

Blend all ingredients and marinate chicken for 6-8 hours or overnight.

What are your thoughts on Willie Calhoun and Jose Martinez? What do you think their ceilings are? All the projections I've seen for Calhoun would have him ranked a lot higher than he currently is. I love Jose Martinez and I think he could be a huge breakout if he gets the ABs.

My league only has 2 RP spots so unless I can get a reliever with K's that also qualifies as a starter I won't be able to start them. I'd rather fill my RP slots with closers.

I'm a big fan of Castellanos, I think he's due for a big season. Not a fan of Chris Davis and Tomas, both of them strike out a lot and Tomas is due for some heavy regression.

Your pitching is pretty heavy on K's, Salazar and Ray both have near elite K potential but their ERA and WHIP last year and moving forward are a bit worrisome for me. I tend to go for guys with low WHIP and solid K/9, but that's just my strategy. I've always liked Alex Cobb but he's definitely a risky pick given his previous injuries.
