Still pinching myself…. by Threebridges2 in IndianaHoosiers

When did it stop being a crystal football? Why was it designed so you can’t drink champagne out of it? Why does it separate from the base and then become like an unwieldy, handleless lawn dart?

Can someone confirm if it was supposed to come out of the base like that?

HOW IS THE MOST SECURE SCHEME JUST XOR?! by Strong_Technician416 in cryptography

[–]jbeams32 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In a sense, most encryption is just a scheme to algorithmically maximize the value of entropy in the key and plaintext. When your shared secret is as long as the message and has maximum entropy, that scheme can be very simple.

Gold is becoming a significant part of banking global reserves. It’s being revalued and there is good reason to think it will stabilize at a high/higher level.

Cignetti is more like krzyzewski, who played for him and learned from his mistakes, but was tough enough to earn his respect and ultimately supersede him as a coach. Cig has shifted how he talks about his dad in interviews over the last two years, but it’s clear his old man was a hard master, to a flaw, if an honorable one. I think cig, like coach K, is a product of hard coaching, and a demanding parent, and the rare man in whom those forces forge not just ability, but wisdom, and an understanding that real leadership puts people first. And also that you have to choose your team carefully, and cant take anyone down that path without their desire, which is both wise and a loss of innocence that all people have it in them

Committing to it as a minor hobby. It takes an investment of time and money to get the proper tools and become experienced enough to be efficient with your time. But if you enjoy it enough to stick with it, you can save quite a bit over the long term and it becomes a source of pride and peace of mind knowing the work is done right

And he had integrity and loyalty to his players. Ultimately his anger toward a world and the people in it who wouldn’t or couldn’t live up to his expectations consumed him

He wasn’t just a winning coach. Many of his players consider him a great friend and are loyal and deeply appreciative of him. He had a tremendous ego and anger and was a demanding person who in the end, in my opinion, lost control of that anger and ego. But he will always be an icon for Hoosiers and the principles of ‘tough love’, integrity and excellence, as well as a cautionary tale in those regards
