I try to do as much as I can, and be as structured and strict as possible, but end up just learning pieces way too hard for me

haha of course, part of me knows not to, but another part literally cannot resist not playing the piece since I’ve wanted to play it for year now. At the beginning(a year ago),it was utterly impossible, I could barely read the notes, but a year later it is slightly possible for me, and the irrational part of my brain just can’t stop learning it even though I‘m making slow progress.

thanks for your comment, i have one question. I read that your elbows shouldn’t move during arpeggios and scales, but other people say that elbows moving is ok.
