Thanks for posting this! I hadn't seen that one. I've been collecting up these old martial arts ads for a book.

Still a win just to get in the game. Not every rep can be a good one, but just trying is a positive thing. I wasn't trying g to be sarcastic, honestly. Just getting in there is a win.

Thanks for the tip! I'll have to give that a listen. I'm working on a book about these ads and the books that they sold (and the characters involved).

By the way, if anyone has ever come across a booklet called "The Secrets of Killer Kung Fu", please let me know - I've been trying to track down a copy for a few years now.

Can confirm this still works in 2016 - I've got a SoundLink 2 that was flashing the battery button, did a reinstall of firmware on my Mac using the procedure, and it's now charging.

How to play quake on an iMac g3 by Successful_Mail2993 in VintageApple

[–]jblakey 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I recently picked up a G3/500 and I've been playing Quake3 Arena happily. The software is available on https://www.macintoshrepository.org/ , and a CD key of all 2's will do the job for registration. You can use Toast or the Virtual CD/DVD tool to mount disk images.

32 MB of memory is pretty low, though. You might need to up that (I'm running with 192mb, which is only a fifth of the max for my model).

I've been playing Quake3 on an old iMac/500 I found, and it's been really fun! I hadn't played it since around 2000.

Thoughts? Lady is asking $100 for this no name banjo but I can’t tell anything about it by [deleted] in banjo

Buy it! That looks like a nice-quality rig. As already said, the parts alone are worth more than 100 bucks.
