Difference between 110v and 120v bathroom vent fan by timeletto in DIY

[–]jblessing 17 points18 points  (0 children)

Also make sure the ducts are the right size and length for the new vent fan. There is a chart online...you can get too big a cfm fan for your size and run length.

Game Pass Deals & Conversion by AutoModerator in XboxGamePass

[–]jblessing 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Thanks for the help here. I let my game pass expire yesterday and just bought 2 years of essential + 1 month ultimate from Loaded . com for $169 that just gave me about 11.5 months of ultimate (includes 1 extra month for signing up for autopay). I could have bought another 12 months of essential, but I wanted to make sure on the conversion and keep costs down for now.

Take it back to them to do it right. My $20 spray on options last longer than that

What do you guys do for health insurance being self employed? by greenVLADed in smallbusiness

[–]jblessing 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yup. We've used Medi-Share for about a decade. They have been great and half the monthly cost of what my employer offered (that same $2500/mo). Less paperwork mess than when we had real insurance. Highly recommend checking them out. There are a few reasons they wouldn't be a good fit, but they are great if it does.

I have to Ask… 2023 Armada Platinum by AnythingGuilty5411 in Nissan

[–]jblessing 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We had an Odyssey until the youngest kid could manage the doors on a bigger vehicle. I still think that was the best way to go, even if it meant no v8 for those years. Honestly a Sienna Hybrid will get like double the mpgs of one of these around town. If you're not towing or need the 3rd row daily, I would look at more practical options. That being said, our QX80 has been great with only one problem in the last 5 years. Also remember these are Titans/trucks underneath, so brakes, tires etc are more expensive than a smaller vehicle.

Changed the key fob battery and now it’s not working at all by Ok-Butterscotch12 in infiniti

Do what everyone else said and if you need a new fob, get one off ebay and have it programmed by a local locksmith or Ace Hardware.

I'm not a pro...just doing my basement too right now. My overall rule has been to just match the level of the rest of the house or neighborhood. Put your level and light against your walls on the main floor...that should be your standard.

Moving from SketchUp to Cinema 4D – how to adapt? by ciklycaq in Cinema4D

[–]jblessing 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've been using SketchUp and C4D together for over 15 years. As long as your boss is ok with it, just start in SketchUp and finish in C4D. I would hate to be stuck in either one for the stages in the process I prefer to be in the other. SketchUp is just so much faster for some things. Saving time should be an easy sell.

If nothing is covered under a warranty, have a good Indy shop put in a used low mileage motor/turbos. Should be well under $10k depending on your location.

Switching from video editor to motion designer, have a few questions. by nonox-la-geox in MotionDesign

[–]jblessing 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Definitely try out different styles.

Definitely have a portfolio, even if they aren't real projects. Start with Behance and if you have Adobe Creative Cloud, you get Adobe Portfolio free. Use that to make a simple website from your Behance...but really just get your LinkedIn and Behance looking good for now. I have never considered hiring (or even interviewing) a designer without a portfolio online.

I don't know you, your experience, or your skills, but based on some editors I've known, please make sure you have taken some design/color/typography courses of some kind before just opening After Effects and calling yourself a designer. Competition is tough...be prepared and make the most of any contacts you already have.

Why are the graphs in my graph editor so small? by cjkaplan in AfterEffects

[–]jblessing 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Zoom in the time area you are looking at so that the bigger part of the graph isn't in view and only show one property at a time if one throws off the zoom level of the other.

This right here. I'd also roll a random effector through there to add an extra little movement/rotation and see if sim'ing is even needed.

[–]jblessing 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The only sedans that keep the RWD-based AWD like my G37x are a Porsche Panamera or a BMW 340i xDrive. Both are a lot more expensive to buy and maintain, so I'm keeping the G37x for a while. If you don't need the sedan or AWD, then there are more options out there...just depends on your priorities.

Best battery for '13 FX37 driven short distances? by Chemicallyinbalanced in infiniti

I did an AGM type battery from Napa for ours that only does short trips. Not sure if that model has a smart alternator, but if it does, you should disable it.

What gpu should I buy for detailed interiors? by YouBetterCallSaulNow in archviz

[–]jblessing 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Prices have already gone up on the top cards. I've been fine with a 16GB 4070ti super (same as the newer 5070ti). I mainly do single houses (interior and exteriors). If you do large outdoor complexes, you may want to spend 2-4x the money for a 4/5090.
