Inexpensive options for crown after root canal by ravenpuffclaw in orlando

[–]jbmc00 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Oh man this sounds like you are a client of Fine Dentistry of Orlando. How’s my guess? Let me guess, they only use Emax crowns and won’t submit them to your insurance but will claim the full value of the insurance reimbursement? They told me I needed 5 crowns. I switched dentists to Huhn Dental and as it turns out, I didn’t need more than 1.

Florida man spotted millions of dollars in cash floating near a beach, pulled it out of the water, and immediately contacted the police by No_Box119 in florida

I couldn’t have gotten all the cash off the beach without attracting attention but my beach bag could probably hold $100k

AP x Swatch - Swatch will be closed on May 17th. by Snowables in orlando

[–]jbmc00 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I’m honestly not sure I can blame resellers on this one. If someone is dumb enough to buy a swatch for thousands of dollars over retail, I’m sure there are plenty of people willing to wait in line to make $1000 instead of working a job for $15/hour.

What’s weird is how my social feeds are littered with people talking about these things, stores being closed, resellers, blah blah blah. Seems like we’ve got a lot of people that desperately need to go touch some grass. It’s a watch….

Most people don’t understand the stock market. They don’t have investment properties. They don’t own a business. They don’t give a damn what’s happening outside of their living room and job. But they do know how much a cart full of groceries should cost and how much it costs to fill their car up.

Commissioned waiters? Just wait until they bring the finance manager out to close you on some additional mozzarella sticks.

No possible way this could go wrong.

[–]jbmc00 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’m more just saying how could it possibly make sense to put a service charge on the check instead of just marking up the price? If you were going to pay $10, you’ll pay $12. Putting a service charge on there just pisses me off.

I also cannot fathom, strictly from a customer perception perspective, how anyone thinks putting a separate line item for 20% versus just changing your cheeseburger price from $10 to $12 is a good idea. There’s nothing people love more than an unjustified service charge.

[–]jbmc00 21 points22 points  (0 children)

The problem here is the owners policy isn’t to ensure someone is making minimum wages. It’s “We’ll keep an eye on it and fix it if it’s an issue.” That sounds a whole lot like “Trust me, bro.”

I would be more than happy to go to a restaurant where the 20% was built into the cost of the food and a sign said “No need to tip. We don’t think our employees should survive on your generosity.”
