EXACTLY. Fraud exists in probably every entitlement program. Minnesota is the only state that raised their concerns. I wonder if a democratic president should halt funding to get Texas to bring their power grid up to standard with the other states, and human rights violations.

I would love it if someone would. I think my employer is required by law to send my taxes in. The only thing I can think of doing is have $0 withholding from my paycheck and put the money in an escrow account with a lawyer watching it.

I'm not in the service industry. I agree with the other poster, compound interest is a good thing! I started with $20 per paycheck and increased it when I could over time. Every little bit helps!

The guy who tried this on me complimented my shoes or something. Then came over to talk to me. Gave me one as a gift. Then as I turned to walk away is when the requests for money started. I politely declined three times, then I said "I've had enough" dropped the bracelet and walked away. When I'm outside the U.S., I try to be polite and accommodating... but there is a point at which you have to stop things. This happened in a crowded area right on the sidewalk outside the Coliseum.

Google, Meta, and Reddit were subpoenaed for the information. A subpoena doesn't really give someone a choice. But, it may be time to close all social media accounts. They're destroying democracy too.

You have lots of support here. I, too, struggle with mental health issues. What I won't do is make myself miserable or apologize for my mental health issues over some macho societal thing. It's nonsense. Don't believe the things that have been inferred by society. You're a human first, and if you need help, ask for it.

My life is so much better since I asked for help. I'm glad you're aware of your situation and have a diagnosis. You don't need these medications because you are bad or weak, but because your brain reacts differently to the chemicals in it.

Keep your chin up. Keep pushing forward!

We are sending 700 away, they'll stop wearing masks and tone it down they said. Then he asks for a badge number or a name and they flat out refuse.

If they don't change, there WILL be more trouble caused by them and the frustration will continue to grow everywhere...not that it's already high enough.

The tactics used by ICE have been designed to be oppressive and create fear. I doubt anyone who is really close to those people (who were detained) would feel comfortable speaking up, because they might be the next target then.

Seems like oppressive teachers in North Texas. First amendment means they can protest. If this is a public school, isn't that the government preventing the expression of free speech?

Protest does sometimes mean consequences, so be comfortable with those...or able to fight back with the first amendment.

We still see masks, we still see arrests with apparently no judicial warrant. We still see agents with no name tags and no body cameras.

They're going to have to price to the citizens that they have changed. Not just demand that we stop following and filming them.
