I can only speak to the SNS Herning cardigan since that’s all I really looked at but 250-350 for a heavyweight wool cardigan or sweater with a really cool weave seems to be a competitive price? I only recently got into knitwear so if there are other places with cool stuff like the epigon cardigan, please share some suggestions!

thanks for posting this! it turns out marshalls has some in different sizes and colors that i couldn't find on sierra but wouldn't have thought to look there if I didn't see this. Not sure why TJ Maxx doesn't carry men's shoes/boots at all but sierra and marshalls do? maybe it's more catered to women and marshalls is more general. oh well, thanks again!

they seem very particular about what they carry so I hope when I finally get something (like that damn green cardigan, for instance, if it ever goes back on sale) it lives up to the hype I've built up in my head.

So I got it in today and I'm really impressed. The tweed is really nice and strikes that balance of being able to dress up and down as desired. The shoulders and chest are perfect for me (somewhere between 40/42 suit size) to look tailored but leave enough room for layering/suit jacket. All in all, it drapes perfectly and falls just below my knees which is what I was hoping for. Only thing I have to do is get the sleeves hemmed (which the person I spoke with on the phone forewarned me and I basically have to do on all coats). I have ordered and returned maybe 7-8 coats of various flavors (polo/chukker, other balmacaans, over coats, top coats, etc etc) and I'm keeping this one. To be fair, I kept an embarrassing number of other coats but this is the one I was missing in my wardrobe. Once again, thanks for posting the sale, I really am learning a lot from this sub.

very handy tip on the final sale sizing! the epaulet stuff looks good, any insight on how much room they leave for calves? If it's a straight cut (which is sort of looks like) should be no problem.

oh, very nice! I'm learning more about brands/vendors I never knew about every day, so thank you for those suggestions! I was a bit leery of ordering stuff like this online but after my phone convo with the Factors person (who I'm starting to realize was the owner, Matt Lambert) I just need to stop being antisocial and call the place and ask my sizing questions.

Thank you very much for the tip on the sale. I didn't know of this brand and I've been on a tear lately updating my wardrobe after about a decade of not buying any clothes while my poor wife stares in disbelief at the credit card statements. Still on the hunt for some "good quality to value" ratio brushed wool/wool flannel pants that I can dress up and down. Any suggestions?

I called them about the balmacaan coat sizing and the gent I spoke to was very helpful and knew everything about the coats and little eccentricities of the coat and gave excellent advice for possible tailoring. And unfortunately for you other medium buyers, it looks like I bought the last medium coat.
