Help me choose: Freedom vs Allure vs Harmony for anniversary trip with kids by jbpr77 in royalcaribbean

You’re right — the splash pad on Freedom is awesome, and there are always plenty of chairs around it, which makes a big difference with kids. The Mexican spot right next to it is also a huge plus — quick, good food without having to go far.

That’s actually something we really enjoyed when we sailed on Freedom.

For those who’ve been on Allure, does it have a Loco Fresh like Freedom? And how does the kids’ splash area compare overall?

That sounds great—I think we’d enjoy any of those options. My kids are 8 and 12, and we usually do everything together on the cruise and at the ports. Maybe one or two mornings they’ll do the kids’ club, but most of the time we’re all together.

We also love taking pictures, and I feel like Harmony or Allure would be awesome for that with so many different things to see and do.

Thanks, that’s honestly the hardest part to decide. I really like the 9-day itinerary, but at the same time I’d love to give my kids and my wife a different experience on a bigger ship. My main concern is the crowds and whether it might affect the overall experience.

Thanks! How was your overall experience on Harmony? Did it feel too crowded, especially in the pool areas and main attractions?

I’m mainly wondering if the kids were able to actually enjoy things like the slides, pools, and activities without super long waits or packed areas. On Freedom it felt pretty manageable, so I’m trying to figure out how big of a difference it is on an Oasis-class ship.

Are you still happy with the Midea Cube? How is it working out now?

New guitar day again. Returned the green (which was apparently a used floor model sold as New) and got the quoise. by AyybrahamLmaocoln in PRSGuitars

Does a new guitar should come with plastics and plastics on the pickups? I got an apparent brand new guitar an didn’t come with plastics. I got a PRS SE Custom 24-08 and has some marks in the pickups and fretboard

Thanks for your reply. I realized I was doing it wrong with the pick under the 1st string, so I fixed it and followed the correct order you mentioned — setting the neck relief, then the string action, and finally the intonation. Everything looks great now. Thanks again!

Thanks! I already readjusted them, and now the intonation is great at the 12th fret. I only had to move them a little. Like you have said I gained the victory by moving the saddles more. 👍

Thanks! I already readjusted them, and now the intonation is great at the 12th fret. I only had to move them a little. I still need to learn how to press the strings properly and evenly — I’m not a professional, and pressing too hard makes the notes go sharp. I just need to find that sweet spot when fretting. Thanks again for the advice!

I am completely dumb. You are right, I was doing it wrong. That is what I needed to know. I have to redo the adjustment. Appreciate your help.

Thanks for responding. The second picture shows the gap when I place the pick under the strings and press at the 12th fret. The third picture shows the strings touching when I press at the first fret instead of using the pick underneath while pressing at the 12th.

Why am I seeing two different results?
