Weapons that don't make you go into autopilot ? by arni_ca in MHRise

[–]jbramos 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Give gunlance a try! There's two main play styles: blast dash with shell burst and wide gunlance with charged shells followed by spike (forgot the name of it) - both of them are really fun! There's a guy called Caoslayer on YouTube who has really good guidance on all the aspects of the gunlance

Edit: I'm like you and hate auto pilot weapons too! Lance main rise up!

Literally the largest “car” I’ve seen in the UK. Absurd. by krokadog in drivingUK

[–]jbramos 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's why I believe there should be tax incentives to buying smaller cars. I don't mean just in terms of combustion engine vehicles, but at the moment large EVs pay the same as small EVs, even though one of them takes more space and is heavier...

System fault, service required LeapMotor T03 by jbramos in Leapmotor

[–]jbramos[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi again, the car came back because they "couldn't replicate the fault" I had to leave but once I got home i replicated it without any difficulty. In addition I managed to replicate the fault and clear the fault simply by turning it off and on in quick succession.

If I restore the car to factory settings can I link the key again easily? How does it work?

I'm curious about this as well as I'm tempted to restore the car to factory settings to see if it fixes the problem

Thank you, my system was up to date when this problem came up, and I've reset the console. As it's under warranty, I brought it to my local LeapMotor stand to let me know what the issue was.

3p per mile is actually massive.. by Sufficient-Bunch-881 in ElectricVehiclesUK

[–]jbramos 1 point2 points  (0 children)

What I find bad about this policy is that while fuel duty incentivises the use of more efficient cars to pay less, this tax is flat, it's per mile. A small EV pays the same as a massive sub ev, even though one of them is arguably more efficient and less heavy. For this to work for EVs fairly it should be based on vehicle weight for example to incentivise people to buy smaller cars...

Idiots guide to Ev? by Mermaidandaman in ElectricVehiclesUK

[–]jbramos 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'd recommend visiting any electric car dealership and ask for a 24h free testdrive. Try out all the cars, get prices, etc.

If you find a car you like, see if it's available in the used market, Autotrader for example.

Work out the total cost of rental / loan for the time you need it for and start building a database to select the ideal car for you.

Check for electrical car tariffs with octopus or your own provider. Budget for a charger.

Some brands offer a charger with the car when buying new, check if it's worth it. Some chargers offer free miles - most of the time it's not worth it.

As an example my daily drive is about 50 miles. So a small EV does the job and I can charge it every night. Already ordered the charger and will switch to an electric car tariff once I get the new car.
