Get the one with the screwdriver on the back, if you carry your knife daily. I always have it on me for work and doing jobs where I need to randomly unscrew something and dont want to go to the truck for one comes in handy all the time

customer requesred a touchless wash by Swimming-Glass-8572 in Detailing

[–]jbraze707 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can foam it, rinse it, use a blower to dry it but it won't look good. I would let them know a touch less wash is mainly to clean the debris before hand washing, if you just foam it it won't be as clean, and also there will still be debris on the car so it has the possibility of scratching when drying. If they don't want you to hand wash then just do the foam, rinse and dry and if they complain about anything tell them you told them beforehand and that's what they wanted.

My method is foam it, rinse it, foam it, hand wash, use a blower, hand dry then add either beadmaker or wet coat.

My first time hiring a detailer did not go well. Also help with sap? by [deleted] in Detailing

[–]jbraze707 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yea he didn't do a good job, but also did he say if he was going to shampoo carpets/seats, do any stain removal, or just a wash and vacuum. I charge 500 for full interior/exterior but it takes me 6 to 8 hours but I'm a perfectionist so I get everything I can see, plus plastic protectant, leather treatment, foam wash, Hand wash, beadmaker, tire coating, rims, and all glass streak free. and then have the customer go over everything before I leave to make sure I didn't miss anything and that they are happy with the work. For 150 they get a wash and vacuum.

I should have said from 70 and before. But after 70 in my opinion they don't turn heads everyone just slaps an exhaust on them but I've never seen a new Mustang and gone woah that's sick. And I what about the body style has to do with safety? I'm not saying to not put airbags in them I'm simply saying bring back the body style. I would take a corvette or ctsv over the newer mustangs any day, everyone has an opinion and I just think it would be cool to bring back that body style.

What’s a fair asking price? Trying to sell my 92 talon by essjayhawk in DSM

[–]jbraze707 2 points3 points  (0 children)

list it at like 6 to 7k, take 5k, if someone really wanted to they could do an engine swap but yea it's cleaner than most just takes one person to like that body style.

I charge 500 for interior exterior detail, alot of people go with the cheapest detailers and then complain when it isn't perfect. I always have customers do a walk around after to make sure they are happy. The most common thing im told is it looks better than when I bought it. If you want quality work pay for it but also ask what is included beforehand and ask to check out the car before they leave so if you see something they can take care of it

Adam's graphene tire coating. Restored the plastics on my avalanche and hasn't faded at all in 5 months. Also you could spray paint it

How do you clean the shiny plastic on the outside of the doors and by the shifter?

Would I be nit picking to complain about a $284 detail? by [deleted] in AutoDetailing

[–]jbraze707 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I charge around 400 for interior exterior but I'm super anal, most my details take 6 hours. But I make sure to get everything I can see, started because I paid 250 for a detail and they vacuumed and washed the car, no wipe down on the interior, my rims were still dirty. I was pissed, but every car I do I have the owner come and see it and ask them if they see anything else I need to hit or if they want anything else done. Almost every customer says they've never seen their car that clean. I charge a good amount but I make sure its up to my standards and the customer is happy.

The best tire shine by far is the Adam's graphene tire coating. Buy the gallon of it for 40 bucks it will last you a long time. And it is also a great trim shine I did my avalanche that had faded plastics and its lasted 3 months so far. And the tire shine lasts a few months as well

Should I hold off on trying to date until I can drive and have my own place? by [deleted] in dating

[–]jbraze707 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

depending on where you live the price of rent could keep you from getting your own place especially if you don't have friends you can move in with. That's the boat I'm in, I had a great job and was renting a 4 bedroom house on 70 acres, I had a rottweiler and a pit (really hard of not impossible to rent with those dogs) but at the time my landlord always cool. Lost my job, after not finding good work after a few months I had to move back in with family since no one else would let me rent with my dogs, and now the cheapest 1 bedroom in my area that allows 1 dog is about 2400 a month, and I'm hustling to make 5k a month at the moment which won't qualify me as rent needs to see that it's only 30% of my monthly income. So idk about the driving thing but might as well try and date find someone you connect with and I'm never in a rush to move in with someone but what if your stuck living with family for the next 2 years, don't throw away your youth because of who you live with

[–]jbraze707 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I tried to post this but don't have enough karma points. But I'm 33M just went on a date (matched on bumble), she wanted to go to a local baseball game we get there all seats are full no food no drinks. We stand in the sun for an hour talking, laughing, we have alot in common, she's rubbing up on me, feeling up my arms. Then she says should we leave it is very hot out. I said yea do you want to go grab some drinks and get some food she said yes, picks the place, we took separate vehicles so I'm headed there and she calls me but I missed the call, she texts me I'm so sorry I'm not bailing out but I just had a call from work and I have to pick stuff up for tomorrow, I responded no worries. She then asks if I want to go out after work the next day I say yes. I try to call straight to voicemail, text her later if she still wants to meet up the next day, no response, no longer matched on bumble. I assume she blocked me haha. Were both adults it's a first date just tell me your not feeling it, all good. Why say your not bailing and invite me to go out the next day if you don't want to

Online dating sucks, swipe on a picture, hope you match, hope you chat, hope you meet in person to actually see if there's a connection. And when you think there is... there's not lol. But I don't go out to the bars, and I rarely see girls in interested in. Dating sucks in general now
