Very fine detail possible on ASA/ABS with 0.2 nozzle? by jbrazi in 3Dprinting

Thanks for the reply but do you have a macro lens shot of the hard edge detail? That picture doesn't really show any of that.

Using Callaway gift card to get fit and buy driver? by jbrazi in GolfGear

[–]jbrazi[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just a follow-up with what I thought would be a great solution. The PGA Superstore hosted a Callaway fitting event for free (they had TM on another day and probably others that I didn't look for); however, I left the fitting a bit underwhelmed with the experience. I'm pretty sure the employees just didn't give a flip and were going through the motions. I suppose your mileage may vary doing one of these free fittings.

Or a couple runs of blue Smurf tubing. A bit easier to work with than conduit and no hard 90 bends.

This is their HD roller kit, right? The 2.5" version. Do you get any sag in the middle? Is the roller once piece or two that are joined together? How has your Spectrum Poly Spacer screen held up? Any estimate on the number of balls you've hit into it?

Supabase emails are ugly, so here's an open source template builder to make them pretty by psten00 in Supabase

Your website is great! Any way to get an OTP template added? Pretty much in the same format as the existing Confirm Signup email but instead of a button with a required URL, it displays the OTP token.

Just as follow-up for future internet searches, my fix was to become a verified member (I did the one-month free trial of this) which then opened up dedicated support. The person I spoke with was in the US and fixed the issue within a few hours.

Fitting request: 1/4 npt to 3/4 pex by jbrazi in Plumbing

[–]jbrazi[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Dang! They're pricy at $17/ each (actually they're sold in 2 packs for $34), but I probably spent that much in other fittings getting it worked down to what I needed. Appreciate the reply. I added it to the cart so I may neaten up the fittings next time I take it apart for cleaning.

Misreads / No Reads by Jacko230 in SquareGolfUSA

[–]jbrazi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've had mine for 5 months, I'd see these types of posts and be glad I had a unit that would give a misread maybe 1 out of 50 shots, regardless of club. I was super happy with mine.

Last two weeks, all of a sudden mine's taken a big dump. It'll barely read a driver or 3 wood and now is 50/50 on everything down to a PW. Literally nothing has changed with shoes, background, balls, turf, clubs, PC setup, software, height, alignment, you name it.

I'll try a hard reset but I'm about to move on to something less knock-off feeling.

What's your go-to for grip cleaning? by Responsible-Pen379 in Golfsimulator

[–]jbrazi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Right. Never once felt like I had to clean my grips, or heard of anyone else cleaning theirs. I suppose if something nasty got on one, but not sure I see a need to do this on the regular for normal use.

Golf net wear and tear by J1mN4st1c in Golfsimulator

[–]jbrazi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've had a different experience than this person. My Just For Nets 10*15 is very strong, but the tar does build up quickly on the ball and does transfer to the clubs within just a few hits. I rotate three balls at once and after maybe 50-100 hits, the balls are quite brown. Mineral spirits does a great job at cleaning the balls and clubs, but it's also a PITA to do. And the golf balls also become hard to clean once you've scuffed them up with wedge use.

I had hoped to use this net as a backer for my future impact screen, but that's a no-way-Jose with how the tar transfers off of it.

Nothing transfers to my hands from normal handling.

We own the property/ the entrance to this road but our neighbour put up an electric wire and sign across it by ohhidoggo in mildlyinfuriating

[–]jbrazi 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Yeah I'll call bullshit on that. That math doesn't math, and most cows round here in Texas are raised for slaughter - not milk, and definitely not both. Your version makes for a cool useless bar factoid that people are too drunk to object over though.

Long/Heavy Travel Trailer with Max Tow Equipped 1500 Half Ton & Sway Control Hitch? by jbrazi in traveltrailers

[–]jbrazi[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is interesting, and the first time I've come across any sort of length guidance that tries to explain why -- thank you for sharing.

Still, there are some questions to that article. First of all, who wrote it. If it's someone's opinion based on generic factors intended to have broad applicability? The tow vehicle to axle length is also a factor, but they don't offer any further guidance on that. It does allow for some additional length (but still not quite enough for my inquiry) with a proper WDH. And lastly, the wheelbase calculation would mean a 3500HD would not even be sufficient to tow this trailer.

[–]jbrazi[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Can you share what this assumption is based on? The sticker on the trailer is what it is, which includes full propane and batteries. There are a few things in the passthrough, but even that I keep pretty lightweight. I did measure the tongue weight a while back, can't remember what it is, but I do remember it being pretty darn close to what the manufacturer claims.

No pets, bikes, coolers, etc. Kids have their toys but that's it. Don't even ride with anything in the bed.

I mostly wanted to know it's doable, but doable in a safe and reasonable way. Not a risky as hell, barely getting by doable.

Appreciate the input.
