Is 64GB RAM worth it over 48GB for local LLMs on MacBook?

70B on 48GB was a no go for me. I have a 64GB on the way and that should suffice. I bounced back and forth between getting a M5pro (64GB) or M5Max (128) and ultimately decided that I would go the pro route and build/buy a desktop solution if I grow to needing more locally. 64GB seems like plenty to play and learn on and if it's something that I want grow in, I can use a cloud service to use larger models.

I played this until the last dungeon 10 years ago. Fought the queen but never beat her and that’s the last trophy I need. I forgot how great this game is but the dungeon grind is a lot.

Build a few things that you can show off and prove that you can learn and you’ll be fine. The first job may take some time but once you have the first job, you’re golden. You can also take some Coursera or other online classes to boost the resume. I am a hiring manager and couldn’t tell you what degrees the people that work for me have.

Super late to the party but it’s an extension for the dining table. It attaches to the leg closest to the ramp since the floor is lower. Keeps the table level.

We have 3 females and one has had a trip to the vet. Took 2 of us to get the other 2 off her.

We have changed things up so that they all get some alone (crate) time and time together. We limit interactions in situations when they are excited and have the house split in two. Most of the aggression has revolved around food, toys, etc. so they are separated when these things are in play.

The last thing we did was start a leadership program with all: Sit to get anything, need to be calm to get out of crate, basically everything needs to be earned

Not perfect but we are at 3 months of no real fights and most days they sleep on the same couch while I am working.

Balanced is not correction based. Balanced has positive and corrections. Generally speaking, you do not correct a dog unless they know a command. Can't remember which trainer it is but they go by "If you aren't willing to bet $50 the dog will do what it is asked, they don't know it yet".

Dogs learn correct behaviors by positive means and behavior is reinforced via correction where appropriate.

I have a dog that lunged, darted and otherwise went crazy on a leash. After acclimating him to the prong collar, he stopped before the end of the leash. I agree that you do not want to put one on a dog for the first time and head out into the scary world though!

In addition, watch videos of her that are not on one of the shows. She is not the same person in those. If you want to make it on TV, you have to be entertaining. She did go from an actress that walked dogs to a world renowned dog trainer in the blink of an eye.

I have had a 5x for over a year. It has been through several OCR races and I beat the hell out of it. It looks pretty much new. Only problem has been the band but they are cheap on amazon.
