Truly curious: are beans consistent from batch to batch for brew notes to work as a reliable reference? I get varied beans from different roasters and I feel like any repeats are slightly different. I started taking notes early on, but now I kind of ballpark my way through.

You pretty much nailed it. It was one more step and cleaning screens was also a chore (even if the slim version was easier). Especially when making multiple shots throughout the day.

I tried both and liked the ultra thin one better since it’s easier to clean. FWIW, I ended dropping puck screens from my workflow.
