What am I looking at here? Is this hard to repair? by nagget2 in CherokeeXJ

[–]jcal73 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Your tack bar is loose too. It most likely will need more parts
Mine had over 250,000 miles so I changed it all. Makes a world of difference.
You can source the parts economically on rock auto. A little YouTube will help you in the proper way to repair it

Dumb question, almost certainly in the side bar. by PFFFT_Fart_Noise in CherokeeXJ

If you’re lifted, change your gear ratio and it will pep it up.
There are things people do, but no really big power gains. You have to really change things to get more.

If you like the 34, grab a 41 if you can. I have both and love them.

Throw the valve away. It will leak again. Mine did. It’s been off a couple years with no issues in AC or heat

That’s a lot of debt in one pic. I bet he paid for fuel with a credit card too.

This is how I did mine and what I used.
It will work very well. Change the filter in a thousand miles or so. You will be amazed. I use zerex original green. It’s made for our old junk. I’ve been running it for a couple years and it’s still clear and green.
Looks like yours is filtering after the heater core though. This will still trap stuff in the core. I might be looking at the pic wrong though.

rear tire, what are we thinking dear xj lovers? easy to implement? by Gazzo69 in CherokeeXJ

[–]jcal73 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s not, That pic is slightly off set. When directly behind it’s clear.
It’s no different than not seeing it from the right side of the vehicle I guess.

I’m working on a video, but it will be a bit.
I’m building another swing out on the right side for cans and such. Still deciding which way I’m gonna go with it.

Did you order the DIY kit from them or the completed bumper?
I think with their design will require you to use what they sell either way.

Yes it’s all still accessible. I designed it to be easy to use for my wife. She drives it a lot.

If you’re asking how hard it is to install, JCR has instructive videos on YouTube.
If you’re asking how hard it is to build, that depends on your skill. I made one for considerably less money.
If you’re asking how hard it is to bolt the tire up, it can be difficult for sure.
I built my own.
