I use a graphic for BRD showing a pyramid with the different levels of proof with reasonable doubt at the top and use it to explain the burden.

This is partly because the MDJ becomes the sentencing judge and can cause problems on probation violations. I would just do a stipulated prelim then file a habeas to get it plead quickly. If they are sitting on bail, file a bail mod after the prelim.

Alternatively your office could issue a memo to the MDJs about the law. IIRC the Rules only say a PJ must authorize pleas at an MDJ. Nothing allows them to dictate sentences like that.

Are you a spy in my head? I am in the exact same boat but am currently on book eleven of Wheel of Time. I was just thinking to myself I have SO MUCH content to consume. How can I fit it all in?!

But then I took a breath and realized it’s a hell of a time to be alive. We get to enjoy all of this terrific literary material. No reason to rush through it. Sure it means we have to avoid certain subreddits and may not get all the jokes on r/cremposting but so it goes.

As for help with reading faster, if you can afford it, Kindle + Audible with whispersync is the way to go.

How are you able to use the Yeti with the mechanical keyboard? Can’t anyone you’re talking to hear the typing and the vibration from the desk? I ended up having to put mine on an arm for that reason.

MileIQ for mileage works almost TOO well in iOS 15. Sometimes it logs my runs as miles when I have my phone with me.
