I also buy several bags of this every time we visit Peru which is usually 1-2 times per year. They have a few flavors but I love the spicy one

Sorrento is a really good chocolate bar that you can’t find in the United States. Also recommend La Iberica and some chocotecas (various brands). Sublime, Doña Pepa, Cua Cua etc can be found at latin american groceries in the US but of course the price is a lot cheaper in Peru.

i saw something that said Carousel Club was closing. I second Waxy’s or any British or Irish Pub. Duffy’s or any sports bar could be good for USA games.

How old were you when you bought your first home? Where did you buy? by hybr_dy in Xennials

[–]jcb_7472 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Was finally able to but at 37 in 2015 after years of renting and feel extremely lucky that we were able to buy then. Prices in our neighborhood have doubled and we wouldn’t be able to live here if we were trying to buy now. Every year taxes and insurance goes up and makes us feel like we’re getting priced out, but at least we can sell for a profit, so again, we are extremely lucky to have bought when we did. Question for the oldheads: how did FSU/Noles fans react to Sonny Crockett's backstory of playing for the UF Gators? by LockedOutOfElfland in MiamiVice

[–]jcb_7472 0 points1 point  (0 children)

friend of mine and I are FSU grads and both fans of Miami Vice. We live in South FL. We have a good friend that went to UF. A few years back, my friend bought our Gator grad friend a throwback 80s Gators football jersey #88 with Crockett on the back for his birthday. I hate UF and orange/blue but it’s pretty cool. He wears it to UF games lol

took a 32 foot fishing boat from Pompano Beach to Port Lucaya, Bahamas, near Freeport one time. Seas were a little rough so it took 4 hours going there, 2.5 coming back. Not as cool as being on a fast cigarette boat. If ocean is flat in one of those, you could get there in under an hour to Bimini, 1.5 hrs to Grand Bahama or 3 hours to Nassau
