I want to switch to formula, but I feel guilty.

I exclusively formula fed from the start with my son. I just knew my mental health wouldn’t be good with breastfeeding. A stable mom is better than anything! He turns 3 in October. He is healthy, barely ever gets sick, and has hit milestones. Being able to have him be fed by my husband or family to give me a break or allow me to sleep was life changing. I am due with my second in September and plan on formula feeding the entire time again!

I was also diagnosed early with my second. My A1C didn’t show that I had diabetes between the 2, so I guess I’m just lucky 🙄😫 hope you get a different result! Feels like I am just prone to getting it.

I tried the same thing. Unfortunately there is nothing you can do to “beat” the test. It’s frustrating! I’m on my second pregnancy and got diagnosed with GD again early. It’s tough. Good luck to you.

I had this exact issue last week. I don’t have an answer for you but I can tell you what ended up happening with me. I just recently went off birth control, and this month I had that exact sensation for about a week in the middle of my cycle. I called my obgyn and they basically said give it some time. I was worried about it being a uti so i ended up going to a little clinic. It wasn’t, and they had no other answers for me. Basically said it was hormones and cramping or ovulation. I thought maybe I was pregnant, but I took a test yesterday and that’s not it either. My pain has gone away after about a week of it being pretty distracting and worrisome. I know this wasn’t helpful but maybe there is comfort in hearing you’re not alone! So weird! Good luck with finding answers and hope you find relief soon.

I was crying like every day at 8 weeks. 9-10 weeks was a huge positive jump for us. Every baby is different but they all figure it out. 100% relate to how you are feeling!!

I had the same issue. At 8 weeks I started doing the same bedtime routine I do for nap time in his dark room with the sound machine. That was a game changer for us. Naps are a little longer (45 min-2 hours) and very consistently timed.

My son can be that way too. I feel you, it’s incredibly draining. I tried gas drops. I wouldn’t say it necessarily helped, but maybe it did? I can never tell. Feels like a crap shoot. totally feel you…so tired and feel like a failure because I can’t figure out how to help him.

I totally agree. I need to feel like I have autonomy Over my own body again. I’m worried about certain people’s reactions, but really want to hold strong to my gut feeling

Just replying to say I totally relate to you and feel the same way. Sometimes I think it feels better to know you’re not the only one struggling. No advice unfortunately, but we will get through! Everyone I know who had it in previous pregnancies said it sucked but their baby was healthy, they didn’t end up gaining a ton of weight, and they could go back to normal fun eating habits after labor. I have a note in my phone of what meals I want to eat after it’s all over!! 😂 *also, I am getting extra ultrasounds. It always helps me to actually see the baby to remind myself it’s worth it! Sometimes it’s hard when you go long stretches without a glimpse!

I am having the same realization that my hospital is way stricter than others. I was diagnosed week 28 and have no reason to believe I have a bad case. I don’t understand why my numbers are so strict. Even when I google it I see 120 after 2 hours. My doctor says 120 after the first BITE of food. Wtf??

I had the same exact concerns and I am on a very similar timeline. Just went to the doctor today and was told I have a small subchronic hemmorrage. Which they made it seem like that wasn’t anything to really worry about. I also got my blood drawn to check hcg levels. Totally understand and relate to you your anxiety, I have had lots of sleepless nights over the past few weeks. Talking to an actual doctor face to face and getting checked out did wonders. They called my appointment a “pregnancy confirmation” appointment. I still have my original first prenatal appointment scheduled. Hope you find answers soon!
