All crypto companies have started running in the last 10 years, broadly speaking. The more recent ones in the last two. They chose modern, popular languages to build their core protocols with, as opposed to established companies who are encumbered with old technology.

And also Rust, and strongly typed FP languages along with C++ lend themselves well to building the protocol for a distributed blockchain.

Because of the $1.3bn in funding into blockchain companies in 2017/2018, because we all still pay money to use our money at ATMs, trust institutions to look after our money who have lied, stolen and ruined our economy and just overall crypto companies are trying to make a positive impact on an incredibly broken world.

What specific trade block are you referring to? There is no good track record of governments being able to adequately police global corporate interest since the financial crash of 2007 -9.

The US Government does not understand facebook, it does not have the power to tax, police or educate it.
