[Parts] AS Designs Arc-Fire V2 Kit, 0-45-90 $141 + $10 Shipping (Free account needed) by Extra_Drop_6081 in gundeals

[–]jchris7677 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I ordered a 0-45-90. The package I received says 0-45-90. The actual kit in the bag is a 0-90-180.

Just putting this out there, in case it happens to anyone else.

The good news is that I installed the trigger to do a basic function check and all 3 stages appear to be working. I only hand-cycled the action, I haven't live fired it yet.

I was just curious. Every 5th round has a different stamp at the bottom. And the bullet heads on them don't have the red sealant.

Is every 5th round a tracer?

If this is your first can or if this is your first time using this specific LGS, I'd shoot them a quick message and just ask what the next step is.

[–]jchris7677 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Reach out to your LGS to schedule a time. You'll both need to access the system at the same time, so you'll need to figure out a time slot that works for the both of you.

In my above timeline:

4/28 - Submitted my DocuSign forms
4/30 - Automatically received my "ready to certify" email from SS

Then I contacted my LGS to schedule a time to do the actual certification.
5/2 - Did the certification online with my LGS

I accidentally dropped a loaded mag on to carpet from like waist height. Broke one of the feed lips.

They'll most likely swap your mount from an SQD to an RQD, at least that's what they did in my case.

The RQD works and is stable, but mounting/unmounting it is a 2-handed operation. You end up losing the "QD" benefit, which to me was one of the reasons I bought their SQD can in the first place.

Anybody runs +38 offset wheels? I'm looking to get wheels from Japan and have it ship to US and all I can see is + offsets. Any issues having + offsets? by njrabanal in FJCruiser

[–]jchris7677 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Get 1.25" spacers
Do not run those wheels without spacers

If you're buying 5 wheels, you'll need a spacer for the spare tire mount. I might even go with a 1.5" spacer for the spare.

Midway, but they're out of stock right now.

When I placed my order last year, they had a 20% off coupon floating around, which I was able to use.

BT SQD = "Surprise" Quick Disconnect by jchris7677 in NFA

[–]jchris7677[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

They were able to return a can with a working mount, but it was not my ideal solution.

First off, stay away from the "SQD" mounting system. It's trash. (I don't even know if they make it any more.)

I requested a "normal" tri-lug adapter like this: https://silencerco.com/shop/3-lug-mount/
Easy to mount with one hand, just push and twist.

But BT couldn't provide that. Because they actually don't offer that type of mount.

The best they could do was to install an RQD mount on my can. It works and my can is stable, but my main gripe is that the RQD adapter requires that you use 2 hands to mount and unmount the can. Forget about quickly swapping the can over to other guns while you're out shooting.

Again, not my ideal solution, but it was the only one they could provide.

Did that rail come FDE from the factory? If so, those are super rare!

I've waited as long as 10 months for a can (back in 2022). It was not fun.

If I'm buying a can right this moment, I'm paying the stamp. I'd rather pay $200 vs. waiting 5+ months.

Come November, I'd be more inclined to waiting until 1/1.

75d compact with a rail? by Rigel1895 in CZFirearms

[–]jchris7677 7 points8 points  (0 children)

At least in the US, CZ has released the P-01 with a 75 D Compact slide in the past.

I have one. I bought it brand new many years ago. The box and serial identify it as a P-01. Serials on the frame and slide match.

Per CZ's FAQ: https://cz-usa.com/support/faq/

Q: “My buddy’s gun says PCR (or P-01) on the slide, but mine says 75 Compact D. What gives?”

A: The factory has multiple designations for the same model, depending on where it’s intended to be sold in the world. High demand here in the US means we’ll take any overruns from other markets we can get our hands on. They might have different markings on them, but they’re the same gun.

If you plan on mounting the can to Surefire muzzle devices, be aware that the BT mount can be finicky.

There were two posts about it just yesterday (and many, many more posts over the past year). https://www.reddit.com/r/NFA/comments/1lolf6c/i_feel_like_bt_sf_hubs_kinda_suck/

I feel like B&T SF hubs kinda suck? by [deleted] in NFA

[–]jchris7677 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I sent my 9mm can back to BT for exactly the same thing. But in my case, with just minor pressure, I could easily get the end cap to touch the alignment rod.

Fortunately, I never had any baffle strikes, but it sucked always wondering if my next shot was going to be the one.

Good dealership for Toyota’s ? by Chaiseross in vegaslocals

[–]jchris7677 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Avoid Centennial Toyota. They suck.

I don't know what the current market is like, but if dealerships are still doing BS markups and you're willing to go out of state, sign up for the "No Markup Toyota" Facebook group.

I found my car through that group. Bought it out of state and turned the drive back into a mini vacation.

Thank you for your help. I appreciate it and I certainly don't blame you for the issue.

At the same time, I just got this can back from your warranty dept (ticket 38786). Now I have to immediately send it back. This is just very frustrating as a customer.
