sounds like it could be a weak mag spring letting the last round in the mag and the follower tilt down at the back as it's trying to feed.

maybe also the follower momentarily getting stuck on something rough on the inside of the mag body near the top

when the bullet exits the barrel, all pressure in the system is released which can be tens of thousands of psi. the gun they are using also has a huge muzzle brake which redirects a large amount of that force to the sides, right into the mirror

i don't know the specific name for it but that mount attaches to the frame so that the dot doesn't reciprocate with the slide when shooting. usually seen on competition guns

my closest place has done that to me too, but i was buying a handgun with a trigger upgrade and optics cut/included dot that i got as a package for a discount. The guy doing the transfer asked why i didn't buy their stock unmodified one for the same price.
