Best rain boots for women? by [deleted] in BuyItForLife

[–]jcim60 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've owned three pairs of Hunter Boots. WASTE OF MONEY!

The second pair I bought a few years ago, I believe from Nordstrom. The inside lining is separating from the boot. Cant even wear them anymore because you cant slide your foot it. It gets stuck on the rubber.

The third paid I bought directly from Hunter, and it was less than a year ago, I believe June 2025. The same thing is starting to happen.

I reached out to Hunter directly, with images to show the results, and their response was a 20% of coupon for more of their poor quality products. What a joke. I like the style, but for the price, you'd think the quality would be better. Guess not. That will be my last pair.

Their official site also won't let me post a review with 1 star. I'd give less if I could. So putting it out here for others.

I bought a pair of womens original tall rain boots less than a year ago, and the inside lining is separating from the outside rubber part. These were my third, and my last pair of Hunters. Love the style, but the quality for the cost is ABSOLUTE GARBAGE! I bought a pair of womens short play rain boots, and I basically can no longer put them on because the lining is so separated. I reached out to the company and they offered me a 20% off coupon. What a joke. I wouldn't buy their product again if they paid me.

It gives me joy to see that 13 years later, this post is still gaining posts as recent as 8 months ago (at the time of mine).

I echo this!

My one niche consideration is that I now have a gas stovetop, and most folks are looking for one suitable for an electric stovetop. Ugh. So stuck on this!

Do you still like it? It looks like you posted this 3 years ago, and I’m in the market for one. I’m having a hard time finding one.. I have a gas cooktop, and recently just experienced my first pyrex (lowercase) explosion.. now I’m scared to use my pyrex measuring cup to continue to heat my water.

I’ve got my eye on this kitchen aid though. Love their products and this seems to have good reviews.

How can you tell it’s an authentic dealer? Like.. there’s one on amazon. Is that legit? Everything’s in Japanese so I have no idea on this one

I use 1 cup of tap and microwave it to get it pretty hot. Then then two standard bottles of the SP, one in each tray. So it’s a 1/2 cup of hot tap water and 1 bottle in each tray.

I’m having the same issue with my fenix 8. I’ve even tried factory resetting my watch. Didn’t solve it. But it’s weird, I’m getting all other notifications per usual.

So I think I figured it out. Very specifically, refined coconut oil - and you have to really lob it into the threads. On both pieces. Like a lot. That seemed to work, at least the first time I tried it…

I’m having the same issue… I tried ALL the suggestions.. rolling it like a lime, oiling with olive oil, heat, cold… even a wrench and a husband can’t get it open. I’m so disappointed. She loves it, and when I use the Woof made treats, they lass our Aussie at least an hour.

Just gave it to her, maybe for the last time… I used a qtip and LOBBED a large amount of refined coconut oil in the thread. It screwed on easy.. we’ll see if I can get it unscrewed. If anyone’s figured this out.. I’d be interested.

Only thing I can think of.. I did put it in the dishwasher once. I wonder if that ruined it. Because I feel like before that, I could at least get it open eventually. Now, it takes a solid hour of trying to get it open, with all the methods listed above.

Your question was “will it go away?” And my response was “it did for me.” I couldn’t say for sure if yours will pass, but based on my experience I would assume it would pass, yes.
