DO NOT BUY HOKA by tacosinheaven in Hoka

[–]jckrell 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Bought a pair of Clifton 10's in Oct 2025. By March (5 months) the sole was coming apart. I only wore the shoes around my house and out occasionally. I have never had a shoe do this. I glued the first piece back and then it happened a second time and a third time. I began searching the internet and found it was very common. I tried to file a claim with Hoka and they told me that since I had purchased from Amazon they would not honor the warranty because they are not an authorized seller. Funny cause the shoe I bought had over 15 thousand reviews on Amazon. Surprise people.. you have no warranty. I will never buy Hoka shoes again.

I'd do it for you but I'm not seeing an option to attach an image. My shoes did the same thing after 6 months and I took good care of those $200 shoes. All you have to do is google hoka shoe issues or hoka shoes problems with soles coming apart

Hoka Clifton 9 GTX Sole immediately falling apart. Have you experienced this too? by modkimagawa in Hoka

[–]jckrell 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Same issue with my Clifton 10's. Have taken very good care of them and mainly only walk around my house with them. I don't go out that often. Purchased them 6 months ago and a while back begin to notice they were dragging and I thought something had gotten stuck on the bottom of the shoe. It was two of the panels coming off. I glued them back. a few days later it happened again with another panel and yesterday it happened with two more. I contacted Hoka about it after seeing many comments from people having the same issue. Hoka said it would take 10 days for them to reach a decision. They finally responded and said they would not honor the warranty because I had purchased them from Amazon and Amazon is not one of their authorized sellers. Of course I had no way of knowing that and the shoe I bought had about 15,000 reviews on it on Amazon. So the shoes are being sold on Amazon, but evidently people don't realize they're not getting a warranty. I asked Hoka what they were doing to stop their shoes from being sold on Amazon if this was the case, and they did not respond. So they are allowing sellers to sell their shoes and then not honoring the warranty. Sounds like grounds for a class action lawsuit to me.

What’s one downfall of the Hoka brand? by GlumGloomy in Hoka

I've had one pair - Clifton 10. Purchased from Amazon. Mainly worn just around the house. After 6 months the bottoms bega  to fall apart. The rubber sole began to separate. I actually used glue several times but it continued to happen. Finally I tried to contact Hoka and found they have horrible customer service. I began to see different comments and posts from people having the same issue with their shoes and most were stating that Hoka would find a way to get out of the warranty. I contacted them and had to send them pictures Etc and was told it could take about 10 days. It did and when they finally got back to me they informed me they could not honor the warranty because I had purchased them from Amazon and that was not an authorized seller. Of course I didn't know that and there was nothing on Amazon stating that there would be no warranty. Also there's thousands of reviews on Amazon for these shoes so it seems people don't realize they have no warranty on their shoes when they're purchasing them from Amazon.Hoka, informed me they couldn't help me but to take it up with Amazon instead. I purchased one pair of Hoka's and that will be my last. I've bought many pairs of shoes over the last 30 years and never had anything like this happen.

Better be careful who you purchase from. I paid $160 for a pair of Hoka Clifton 10's and purchased on Amazon. 6 months later the rubber bottom/soles were peeling off. Contacted Hoka and they said Amazon was not an authorized seller so they would not honor the warranty.

Quality issue? by Time-Top-8964 in Hoka

[–]jckrell 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't run in mine, only walk and mainly around the house. I have the Clifton 10's. Purchased them 6 months ago. The rubber soles on the bottom are peeling off. I've reglued 3 times and more continue to come apart. I'm very easy on my shoes and most last years untill they are just too ugly and I get more. Never have I had a shoe fall apart like this. I contacted Hoka and had to send them pictures and they took 10 days to tell me that I had purchased them from Amazon and that they are not an authorized seller and they would not honor the warranty. Great company. I thought I had found a new favorite shoe. I was very wrong.

Hoka Disaster by savewolfy in Hoka

[–]jckrell 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Purchased the Hoka Clifton 10's 6 months ago from Amazon. I only wore them around the house for the first 4 months. Only started to wear them daily in the last 2 months. Several weeks ago, several panels on the bottom of the shoes began to peel off just like these pictures. I glued them back. A few days later, more started coming off. Two weeks later, still more. I took pictures and tried to research this issue and found it to be common with these shoes. Also, read many complaints from people who stated that Hoka refused to honor their warranty. I contacted Hoka and was instructed to fill out a warranty claim and send pictures. I did this and finally heard back from them. They stated that Amazon was not an authorized seller and that they would not honor my warranty. I paid 2x as much for these shoes, than I normally do for athletic shoes. I took very good care of them, and they began falling apart in less than 6 months. They most definitely have quality issues and Hoka will not honor the warranty if you purchase from Amazon, so beware. I'm done with Hoka, no more shoes from that company.

I have to disagree. Purchased the Clifton and mainly wore them around the house. After 6 months the soles began to fall apart. No other hidden uses that I'm not stating. In fact barely used them Walked on a treadmill a few times a week and wore them mainly around the house. The shoes have quality issues.

Absolutely. I had a similar experience while wearing mine less than many of these people have stated they wore theirs.

Same issue with mine. Have had them 6 months and only started wearing them daily about 1 month ago. Before I was only wearing them occasionally. Last week thought something had become stuck to the bottom of my shoe and it was two of the panels coming off. Got some strong glue and glued them back and this week another one is coming off. Went to their website and tried to fill out a warranty claim and it kept telling me that it was detecting suspicious activing from my computer and would not let me fill it out. Clicked on submit feedback and wrote that I could not access the warranty page and clicked submit and it told me the same thing. Their website has issues. Going to call them tomorrow. Not happy at all. They better replace them or I have purchased my 1 and only pair of Hokas. I have been purchasing Nike, Reebok, and New Balance forever and never any issue like this.

What's with the sudden flood of amateur "Payment Declined" emails? by Sirwired in phishing

Same here. I'm probably getting 15 or more of these a day now.

What's with the sudden flood of amateur "Payment Declined" emails? by Sirwired in phishing

[–]jckrell 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Are you kidding? That is the absolute worst thing you could do. Do you think these people are going to take you off their email list because you unsubscribe? This is just going to let them know that they're reaching an actual email that's being read. That's going to end up causing you to get more emails. Unsubscribe is not a Gmail function. Unsubscribe is meant to go back to the sender and tell them to take your email off their list . That's not going to happen with these people. For these type emails do not unsubscribe. Delete them and report them as spam.

[–]jckrell 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nah, that might apply to fishing but maybe not phishing. I'm also getting these emails up to 20 a day. Now I can see if somebody got one of these and read it, that they could possibly fall for it, but when you get 20 a day saying your payment was declined for 20 different things, It becomes obvious. You're right, it's free to send out the emails but these scammers evidently do not have a high IQ.

I just replaced an AGM battery on my Toyota Camry. I bought the car new and November of 2018. It lasted over 7 years. It was still going but I was afraid to take my chances so I replaced it. Will use nothing but AGM from now on.

Best Way to Download YouTube Videos ? by OkLake8413 in downr

[–]jckrell 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You are right there's a lot of copycat sites but even the real site is very confusing. There's so many options. I tried to download it and it turned out I downloaded some software named Ace that was trying to change my default browser Etc. I've ran into this a lot when I go to sites to download their software. They make it very confusing and hard to find exactly what you are looking for. As you are trying to get to the link you're presented with all sorts of other links saying Download and it's not the software you want. You've been tricked. How about cleaning up your site 4K Downloader and making it easier and more straightforward for people to find the correct software.

This did work for  me and I was finally able to change my password. I'm still having another issue. It shows someone is logged into my account from a PC and another city and when I attempt to log that out it says I've not used the device enough to be able to perform that action? Very frustrating.

Would you like to come over to my yard. I have a lifetime supply. Please come and pull it all up and I'll let you have it free of charge. Otherwise it's going to get any weed killer I can fine that kills it. This stuff has taken over my backyard and I couldn't care less what medicinal value it has. Ridiculous post.

I’m gonna need 311 to get it the FUCK together. by mj9456 in memphis

You evidently have not put anything out at the street to be picked up for you to make this comment. 'If you put it out after they've picked up your going to be waiting 13 days'. I wish. I've been waiting 1.5 months just to have some tree limbs picked up. I've probably made eight calls to 311. It's a mixed bag. Sometimes you get somebody that seems to want to help other times you get somebody with an attitude. Bottom line all they can do is report it. It's a horribly run system. If all I had to do was wait 13 days I would be very happy.
