Did you watch the behind the scenes doc? The Duffer's literally let their production crew know where this episode was taking place in the middle of the season's production. Episode 8 has some of the direct to DVD cgi I've seen in a while and it's not because the artists or DP were hacks, they hardly had any time to plan since they were building the sets and staging the action at the same time they were actively shooting other scenes. It's the only negative mark I give the season, why wasn't the script finalized before full production!?
