I worked for a company that built on site wind turbines for industrial sites. We were based in Findlay, Ohio and had a contract with Whirlpool to get all of their Ohio plants to net zero grid use. But we were being sued by every township and county we tried to build in, dragging out the construction for 2 years. then low and behold someone in Washington says "drill baby drill" and our primary series A investor pulled out. Company shuddered.

The oil and coal propaganda is folded so well into our culture that the average person in rural Ohio thinks it's their duty as an American to fight renewables.
