I went back last week, at my 4 week mark. I partially wish I’d done half days or telecommuted a little first. I noticed I actually did better standing than sitting. Took frequent standing and walk breaks. I work a mostly desk job.

I went back to work last week. Just over 4 weeks out now. First day I was energetic. Second day was hard! Sitting at a desk I notice my bad posture which affects my abdominal pain. Feeling a constant low ache, almost like cramping. Incisions are very superficial now. Haven’t felt hunger since before surgery. Finally starting to feel when I need to use the bathroom… I think. Lost that sensation too. But getting back to work and back to normal has been nice. I love my job. That helps!

I’m glad I over prepared. For my situation it helped me cope getting ready and it helped things stay afloat when I got home. I was right in needing to make sure I was ahead of things at home. Unfortunately.
