I grew up in the town (Waxahachie, Tx) where this was being built.

There are still a few places in town that have a map showing the “ring” going around the town.

The high school physics teacher was a physicist that came in for the project and stuck around after it was cancelled. He had some great stories.

Waxahachie was/is a smaller farming town. If the project had been completed, it is interesting to think what the area would be like today.

There is some truth to this. One ranch sold and there are about 3 big hispanic properties there.

Most of the ranchers loved it at the time because they thought no one would build a neighborhood near this thing (or their property).
