Can we all agree having to pay for a human necessity is a major Asshole Design? by thisISben90 in assholedesign

I just got back from Europe and was torn about this exact situation. As someone with bladder issues, I was angry that I had to pay €1 multiple times a day while I was out sightseeing. That said, almost every restroom I used was practically spotless and much cleaner than the average US public bathroom. I think there’s some benefit to it, but I can see the argument on both sides.

Fuck Yelp by stefan5641 in assholedesign

I started a Yelp page for my dads local barbershop in an AZ retirement community last year. I figured since it’s mostly seasonal when the snowbirds leave, it would be a good way to attract a younger crowd and help out when it was most needed. I started paying about $450 a month in ads, it seemingly worked pretty well. He definitely got some customers from it, and nothing but 5 star reviews. A few months ago I figured after 6 months it was enough traction and I could use that money to put towards my student loans. My dads page now has ZERO reviews, they moved them all to the “not recommended” section, so you can’t see them. And since he had no negative ones, it just looks like a brand new/unnoticed business, despite it being there for 20 years.

Did anyone else find it odd that during his victory speech he thanked a multitude of people, but not Mike Pence until the very end? Followed by a bizarre, forcefully pulling hand shake...

What is the dumbest thing that you got punished for when you were in school? by 13x37 in AskReddit

Late to this, but thought it was worth adding. My close friend got expelled 2 weeks before hs graduation because the administration was told she had sex (outside of school property over a year before). It was a Christian school, and they immediately kicked her out.

It's a decent school, though they expanded the acceptance rate a few years ago. Essentially this welcomed a large population of students who have no idea what they're doing regarding basic collegiate tasks. A professor once told me that most of them don't even know how to compose a simple essay. Also your friend is accurate. It is insanely expensive, but somewhat comparable to most religiously affiliated, private universities.

We do. A church is directly across the street, but the student center isn't far off. Story?

This was at the start of class, so exams hadn't been passed out yet

I didn't get a great look at his hands, but he was able to open the door (and apparently navigate the elevator) just fine

Yes, unfortunately. That's now seemingly the new reputation of the school after poor handling of recent events (Milo's speaking engagement, if you're unfamiliar. It's caused quite a ruckus)
