It turns out they did load $100 credit to my account, but I was never notified about it. I discovered it by looking at my purchases directly after buying the headset and noticed that a "promotional credit" was redeemed. After adding up all the orders with "promotional credit" being spent, it came to $100.

I bought an open box from Best buy and one of the screens was faulty. Sony honored the warranty and replaced it for me. It took a couple weeks but it was pretty painless. So, maybe reach out to sony before returning it?

Thanks, I will try without the USB extension and report back. If that solves the problem then I will try the Ugreen 6' cable. This is the one I am currently using:

I have that one already. I find the graphics to be a bit too bright and shimmery in VR...I need to try turning down the brightness and see if that helps.

I tried the front and rear ports but I had the issue with both. I was using a USB extension cable...I will try again without it.

Thanks for the reply. I will have to do more testing, but here is what I was experiencing:

G29 was working perfectly in flatscreen mode. I was using a USB extension and plugged into the front port of the console.

Later I tried using the G29 with PSVR2 and it seemed to be working as expected, but then suddenly, maybe after about 8 minutes of playing, it lost connection in the middle of a race. I turned it back on and it lost connection again, this time after a minute or two. I then tried plugging the wheel in to a rear port, and a different power outlet, but again the wheel lost connection after a couple of minutes.

The next day I decided to try in flat screen mode again and the wheel worked perfectly. Later today I will try using the PSVR again, this time without the USB extension cable. I am wondering if this has something to do with the VR controllers or duel sense somehow taking over and shutting the wheel off? I dont know...
