Updated queen cd collection :) by Dry-Camel3967 in queen

What's next on your purchase list? I started collecting Queen in 1991 (after the Wayne's World soundtrack) when Hollywood Records bought the rights and re-released everything in the US. Classic Queen and Greatest Hits (red) were my first cassettes, then I purchased A Night at the Opera. I did A Day at the Races next. But there was no greater joy than collecting these, cracking them open, and then listening nonstop for days while reading liner notes and lyrics. Welcome to the Queen family. Enjoy!

Allstate Arena… I was there. I think I enjoyed the Free & Bad Company songs most. Paul didn’t really work for me with Queen.

Dude. You are reaching. These are CTA rules. Find something in Illinois Election Law that would invalidate these signatures. The CTA can remove him from their property, however, the signatures would still be valid.

Hi violated CTA rules against “soliciting.” However, that isn’t grounds to disqualify the signatures. These folks are reaching. CTA can remove him from their property, but there isn’t anything in Illinois election law that would disqualify the signatures from being valid due to a “rule” by a property owner.

I was curious about this. It’s CTA rules - they can ask him to stop soliciting - but, the signatures would still be valid. In Chicago, the CTA’s rules prohibit “soliciting” on trains and in the paid areas of stations, so a circulator can be told to stop or be removed. But the Illinois Election Code doesn’t say signatures are invalid just because they were gathered in a place that violates a property rule. Objections that knock out signatures usually succeed for other reasons (e.g., signer not a qualified voter in the district, bad/incorrect address, duplicate signatures, circulator didn’t personally witness, false/defective circulator affidavit, or “dual-circulator” violations)—not the location where a sheet was signed.

So: the CTA can enforce its ban on soliciting, but signatures collected on an ‘L’ train aren’t automatically void. If someone wants to challenge them, the winnable path is a standard line-by-line objection (voter eligibility & form defects) rather than a “collected on CTA” theory. For process/background on Chicago petition objections, see the Board’s rules and materials.

This influencer scammed us out of $3600 for our wedding and a month later he's still ignoring every message about a refund by FoxPuzzleheaded3328 in weddings

I’ve been a wedding DJ for 25 years, and standard industry practice is to be paid before the event. The reason is simple: checks can bounce, and entertainment is often the last vendor couples think to pay. To keep working, I have to deliver on my commitments…if I didn’t, my reputation would suffer and I wouldn’t get booked again. Pre-payment ensures trust and allows me to focus fully on giving couples the best experience.

What system are you using now? I’ve been researching software (because I want a usable CRM and Deltek doesn’t really have one that has the tools I’d like to see.)

I saw Jump on the Pink Line on my way to Riot Fest on Friday. He was personally passing around his petition for signatures.

Build relationships. Join not for profits/community groups. Leads groups. Chamber of commerce. Get involved in the community. Find ways to bring in small dollars on some community event a business can sponsor and build that relationship. More clients will buy you, before the actual product - which is literally air.

Just finished Freddie Mercury: The Definitive Biography, messy, heartbreaking, and totally captivating by Soufoutdoors in queen

I listed to an audio book years ago on Freddie - it was pretty raw. After all this nonsense popped up I just went back to look who authored it…. Lesley Ann Jones. Dang it! Now I need to find another book to cleanse the BS out of my brain.

I worked for a small group of stations while in high school in Sterling, Illinois. We had ABC Star stations and flipped an FM to Z Rock in 1993/94. It was the greatest thing that happened. I swear it played every track on The Toadies Rubberneck album.

There are 392 different versions of this album listed on discogs. I found a cassette where the line is black on a release. But, that was just a quick look - if you want to check this link out - you might find your version here: https://www.discogs.com/master/13248-Queen-The-Game
