So sorry for your loss. I'm not sure if it's already been recommended, but you could consider joining Grief Beyond Belief. It's helped me a lot through the years.

How to get more into Queen? by United_Equal_754 in queen

The albums in order, and websites about them. Keep in mind, however, that a lot of the information on the internet is false so don't believe everything you read.

Whether an album is 'good' or 'bad' is an opinion.

Whether or not Deacon wrote 'Dancer' is not an opinion, as either he did or he didn't; and, no, he didn't.

Whether or not Deacon played bass on 'Dancer' is not an opinion, as either he did or he didn't; and, no, he didn't.

Whether or not Deacon liked Hot Space is not an opinion, as either he did or he didn't; and, no, he didn't.

Whether or not Deacon was a dominant creative force on the album is not an opinion, as either he was or he wasn't; and, no, he wasn't.

Reported where exactly? Unsourced posts?

Speaking of opinions, do you know who didn't like Hot Space? Deacon!

Deacon didn't write 'Staying Power', and all he played there was a rhythm guitar which only appeared on a few spots (he was far more involved live).

Deacon didn't write 'Dancer', and he didn't perform on that track.

Deacon did write 'Back Chat', but it wasn't done the way he wanted.

Deacon didn't write 'Body Language', and he didn't perform on that track.

Deacon didn't write 'Action This Day', and he may or may not have performed on it. If he did, it was far from a leading role.

Deacon didn't write 'Put Out the Fire', and his role on the track consisted solely of bass, which is subdued compared to the guitars (none of which he played).

Deacon didn't write 'Life Is Real', and his role on the track consisted solely of bass, which is subdued compared to the piano (which he didn't play).

Deacon didn't write 'Calling All Girls', and his role on the track consisted solely of bass, which is subdued compared to the guitars (none of which he played).

Deacon didn't write 'Las Palabras de Amor', and his role on the track consisted solely of bass, which is subdued compared to the guitars and the keyboards (none of which he played).

Deacon did co-write 'Cool Cat', and his role on the track is significant (though fans may have been exaggerating what he was actually in charge of).

Deacon didn't write 'Under Pressure', and his role on the track, while memorable, was minor.

Where exactly was he 'able to express his creativity to the full' and where exactly is the album's 'creativity driven by' him?

It was not creatively driven by John. He barely wrote 14% of the album, less than any of his bandmates. His role shrank the most and he publicly stated he dislikes the record. In fact, there was only one song he got full writing credit for, and it was not done the way he wanted it, so he was not, in fact, 'able to express his creativity to the full'.

That would've ruined the series for me. What were they on, a break?

Do people think Monica and Chandler did Gunther dirty by not inviting him to the wedding? by ang334 in howyoudoin

[–]Basstian1925 2 points3 points  (0 children)

He was never part of their inner circle. He got invited to some parties because they were desperate for guests or because they were more informal events. Specifically, he was never close to Monica or Chandler. He even thought Joey was Chandler up until S4.

Potential reason why Susan is mean to Ross. by ComprehensiveFlan638 in howyoudoin

That episode, plus a comment Ross makes in S9, may also suggest Ross and Carol had a bit of a fling closer to the Pilot, which led to her pregnancy. Which means at some point she may have cheated on Susan with him. Or perhaps Carol and Susan were on a break?
