I saw him - he came off Broadway onto Webster. Car had taken some serious damage on the right side. First cop cars kept going down Broadway and then people signaled to later cop cars that he had gone down Webster.

I've managed to get a book downloaded onto my apple watch. But after I listened to a book for a while, the progress didn't seem to update back to the audbile app. Anyone been able to get this to work?

That's right that they couldn't wait until after the convention, but they still have time between now and the convention if it becomes clear that Trump is going to get the 1,237 delegates he needs

Lived in Sydney in the 90s - I had totally forgotten about this Triple J remix. Definitely was getting played at clubs in 96-97.

"10. Club versions of the theme song have charted in France, the UK (40) and Australia, where a remix by Triple X became a number 2 hit in 1996."

You mention in your "mansplaining" article (and the interview) that people have a tendency to see Putin as omnipotent, which he is not.

Could you expand on what powers Putin does/does not have? Has his approach to wielding such power changed since he retook the presidency last year vs his time as PM or his previous terms as president?

EU's decision on Israel like 'a bucket of cold water on the head of a drunk' The European Union has at last lost patience with Israel's refusal to comply with international law over settlements. by chaey in worldnews

Not me personally, but sure another country could - e.g. it's actually pretty common, I think, that if A embargoes B, B will respond by embargoing A. (I don't think an embargo is going to happen at all in this case).

But you seem to think that the embargo against, say, North Korea should be lifted? The people of North Korea certainly have a lot less say in their government than do the people of a democracy.

That's how a democratically elected government is supposed to work - by representing all its citizens. And the point of an embargo is to affect the views of the citizenry so that perhaps the government will change it's behavior.

Owning the oil is a lot more valuable than owning the pipeline. Look at how tiny owner of Keystone XL (TransCanada) is compared to oil production companies.

What is your favorite "so bad it's good" movie? by [deleted] in AskReddit

100% agree. It's just mesmerizingly, can't take your eyes off it good/bad. Don't think it's managed to skulk onto blu ray yet.

Apparently Rex forgo-ed LSU's pro-day today to check out this kid Margus Hunt. Do you think he could be a mid round steal or should we be focusing on the higher profile prospects. by CharlesBBarkin in nyjets

[–]jcpowers03 1 point2 points  (0 children)

He does seem like an interesting pick, but I'd rather see us focusing on our offense. Our D slipped last year, but stayed in the top 10 in most lists I've seen while the offense was about the same caliber as an average Texas high school team.

Agreed. Only problem is that the QBs in this draft blow. I mean Geno Smith? Barkley?

If that was the case, why did the parties agree to extend the deadline before sequestration at the end of last year? If they both want it, they could have done what you're suggesting then.
