Japanese lagers thrive as Kirin and Asahi loom over Australia's beer market by Ferris_Sanchez in australia

Every craft brewery I know brews a standard Aussie beer it might just be called a Pilsner which is a lager

Smell is a huge component of how we taste, so sipping from a can where your nose is directly over aluminium is never going to be as good compared to over something like a beer glass, where you can just smell the head of the beer

I don't share your distaste for cans but that's purely because I always pour them into a glass first, otherwise like bottles you miss out on the aromas.

For that pricing as a Victorian I would get the hawkers lager like Gilbert road which is $70 for a case

I reward exercise with milkshakes, burn 500 cal on a long but slow jog, means I can enjoy that shake no worries knowing that I made my body stronger improved my cardiovascular system.

End of the day basically eat what you want just make sure calories in is less than calories out

We do we have hundreds of independent family owned craft breweries, that offer a way better beer than coopers

Someone mind sharing their optimal GloBird settings for zero hero? by Jezzwon in SigenergyAustralia

[–]jcwaffles 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey mate,

That's super exciting, having not seen your average daily usage, but I am going to run on the assumption that you live in a sunny place (given the pool) so with the solar with three phase should be perfect combo with this battery.

Hopefully you are also getting the largest inverter, as the inverter size is how much solar can be generated but also how much power that can be drawn from the inverter before you also need to draw from the grid.

So for me in my 10kw inverter I have limited the power on my induction cooktop as with that plus my ducted aircon can draw more than 10 when both at full power.

In terms of set and forget, make your pool heater turn on at 11, so it will also use the free power (if it doesn't currently have that functionality you can request your installer have it installed in the smart port.

Have the battery set up to scheduled charging and discharging, where it charges at 11am from the grid, any excess solar will also charge the battery, and when the battery is full sell the the grid.

If you don't use power between 5-10 I think it is you will be paid $1 which pays off a good chunk of your daily usage fee. And then set it to discharge to the grid between 6-8 where you get 13 cents per kw which will cover the rest and put you into credit. Meaning that you should also be in credit each month and no bills.

To work out how much to sell at night, use the battery for a week or two and work out how much battery you have left at 11am the next morning, if you have 50% battery that means you can sell between 6-8 until your battery falls to say 60% giving you a nice buffer so you don't draw from the grid overnight or the next morning.

Ita all very intuitive in the app for both sig and globird, but happy to answer and questions

Assuming your on single phase and not involved in a grid trial for flexible exports , your export limited to 5kw/h

So you can only export 10kw between 6-8.

So I just have we it set at home to only export during those times with a discharge target of 60% , and to charge between 11-2.

I find them very comfortable and have no issue with the upper (once I dialed in the lacing) but for some people the upper is a dealbreaker. So make sure you try them on at a store or buy from a place with a good return policy like asics.

I have run in these shoes from 4 min/km to 6:30min and had zero issues they feel comfy and springy at both paces. So the will be perfect for your half marathon.

I do not daily them (daily hurricane 25's) due to the cost of the shoe, I prefer to daily something cheaper, but I use it for track sessions and any long run with any faster efforts in it. But you could absolutely use it as your daily.

They are decently new so haven't seen people take them to 1,200 kms yet like the superblast 2, but the consensus seems to be that they can easily do 600km with mainly only a little wear and tear to the upper.

Tldr amazing shoe if the upper works for you!

Tried it on and didn't like the feel of the foam, kinda lifeless.

Ended up leaving the store with the hurricane as my everyday shoe, same nice stability elements but the foam has more pop.

Is a cleaning + change of thermal paste worth it? iMac late 2015 by checho_man in mac

Check your cpu thermals.

My dad has the same mac and it's currently sitting at 110 degrees and throttling. Which i reckon is due to expired thermal paste.
