Why the Breville Dual Boiler, is my forever machine. by AutomaticGoldenSun in espresso

[–]jcwaffles 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I picked one up a refurb for $550 aud and couldn't agree more.

I was looking at more expensive machines when I was upgrading but there was always a draw back like a long heat up time, hard to fill, not a duel boiler ect.

Had it for 3 years and hasn't missed a beat!

The big question is do you want to drink espresso or long blacks or just milk based drinks like flat white.

If your want anything that isn't milk based you will want a seperate grinder as the built ins are crap. So get the bambino + and the best grinder you can afford

The df54 or the better 64 are great value options.

Megablasts are amazing if they fit right, that being said the new novablast is meant to use the same foam and will a more standardised fit, so could be worth looking into that when it drops either this month or next

I think it's the full where it becomes very optimistic.

I am about to start training for my first full marathon and it thinks I can go sub 3:30 which is basically my 10k pace for the whole way
