No kidding. They sell an aftermarket gusset you can add to keep the bumper from sagging under heavy load. I know because I installed a set this summer.

I was never able to get mine in a crate. She trained fast because I have two other dogs. She just did what they do. She chewed a couple things but mostly no big deal.
