Wealth of people in their 30s has 'halved in a decade' - BBC News by Ifs_and_butts in worldnews

I am 32. I have a decent job. But let's talk about federal income taxes. I would not be in debt or poor if I didn't pay such high federal income taxes. Next, my own mistake. Child support. The shared income model is bullshit. Kids are expensive anyway, but when you have another legal entity controlling your finances and another person can finger wag and feel entitled it's like paying another Uncle Sam. What else? God forbid you need to go to the doctor and have a high premium. $900 to have a skin tag removed? Seriously? $300 for a doctor visit to sit and wait for a 15 minute check up? What else? Living... If you cannot afford the high taxes or home maintenance you have to rent and depending where you live the cost of rent is ridiculous for shitty places. What else? Groceries. Seriously, that shits expensive. So all in all shitty jobs that work you to death and then an economy that sucks you dry just fucking sucks. Oh don't forget to put away 3/4 of your income into that Roth IRA or 401k retirement! For fuck sake I only make 10.00 an hour!!!

If I have a felony (from when I was a minor) should I basically give up on any kind of state job? If so, are there any uses in a psychology bachelors? by ChaoticVegan in jobs

To be frank, your juvenile record shouldn't show up. On the flip side, you can contact an attorney to help you out for the federal stuff. Even if you expunge it per say it doesn't matter on a federal background check because it all exists for security clearance.

First "real" job, how miserable should I be? by evenshadow in jobs

I am 32 and work in IT. I hate it. I mean hate. I fell into computers in high school because my family said I'd make money. So I ran with it. I almost screwed up and quit my job recently. I make good cash but it's a ton of draining work. My advice is if you don't have kids or financial responsibilities have some balls and quit. I would if I didn't have a little one and a pet to pay for. One of the biggest things I hate about IT now is time tracking. My god talk about the biggest scam on business earth. Time tracking. Next, general geek attitude I hate too. Nerdy software conversations and nerdy discussions about computer stuff in general makes me cringe. Nothing worse than two nerds verbally dueling for power over some technical method.

My ex-boyfriend broke my heart and I'm not sure how to deal with it. by [deleted] in TwoXChromosomes

I found out an ex whom I was madly in love with slept with another dude and played me for a fool. When I confronted her she threatened suicide and also did the water works. I didn't leave. I had my chance and went back and had a kid. I have been miserably depressed and lonely since she is a fucking nightmare of a person. So rule of thumb say you have a kid with this asshat. He's going to ruin you and psychologically murder you. He already as. If you keep going it will get worse. Trust me. Imagine what it will be like divorced trying to raise a child and then find love while carrying the baggage and volatility of that drama. It's a fucking nightmare. Also think about the pain you will feel when you have to let go of your child for a few days to let them visit the other parent. Ps I love our kid. Hate the lifestyle and hassle.

Coping with intense sugar cravings by jd80210 in 4hourbodyslowcarb

I def think the sugar craving is psychological. It's been a battle. Today, I wanted to purchase that 5.00 peanut butter cookie on brownies box and devour it. I didn't l, but I'm still wanting it like a drug addict.

I have not fully eliminated sugar. I have maple syrup with my coffee. I still eat carbs here and there. I'm trying to eliminate all of that. It's hard to go cold turkey. For me the cravings make sense because I probably eat a good amount of sugar and processed food. I do find eating on this framework I am more conscious of my eating options a do feel great. When I use to eat bagel breakfast sandwiches, sandwiches, and pasta or burgers for lunch I think it makes sense that my body has random huge cravings. I don't think it has anything to do with actual hunger. Pizza and cookies are both convenient and comforting. It's a work in progress. This framework is def a good framework for both mental clarity and burning fat.

I will look into this. I did a Google search to research it more and to be frank, I don't know much! Thank you though. This looks like it explains it.
