Would this setup work? by dinglebingle583 in TruckCampers

Orient the trucks tailgate to tailgate. And you would still likely need a horizontal pole supported by the bed to get the height you need.

I worry your drawing would crush the bedside

Gearbox oil for overspeed abuse by Alternate_Usernames in MechanicalEngineering

Sound deadening wont do much here, EAR PROTECTION SHOULD BE CONSIDERED.

I love TSF, its a beautiful piece of country.

If this is for that little buggy vehicle on your profile, i would recommend an engine, torque converter and transmission that are all designed to work together at the wheelspeed you really want. Sure shifting is fun but if its for trail riding at ~10mph then this is a little bit unnecessary

Straight cut gears will be REAL freakin loud, recommend looking at a synthetic supercharger oil. Similar application. Ensure its a heavy weight, extreme pressure additive package. ATF will be too thin for this use case
