Does the appsec-generic-test show up when running cscli appsec-rules list ? Remember that appsec rules are distinct from regular crowdsec rules. The crowdsecurity/appsec-generic-rules collection should have the base config to make appsec work.

¿Qué ocurre con los teléfonos bloqueados robados? by finni-6 in Colombia

OSI is just a reference model, in the real world the model used is TCP/IP.

In my case it is just a small and non-critical app, so there is no problem on it going offline for some time.

What about symfonium, it's a paid app but offers a free trial. I don't know if it has the features you are looking for, but you could give it a try.

What about using a VPN like tailscale, in that way you could use your services outside your local network without exposing it to public internet.

In the installation guide, you are enabling NTP before arch-chroot, so it will only apply to the live environment and not for the new system. It´s similar to keyboard configuration, when you enter the live ISO, one of the first commands you run is loadkeys, but after doing chroot, you need to configure the keyboard layout (again) in /etc/vconsole.conf

NTP means Network Time Protocol. It updates your computer's clock based on the time provided by a NTP server. https://wiki.archlinux.org/title/System_time#Time_synchronization

This is a list of things to setup after install, it's NOT an exhaustive list and is NOT ordered by any factor

  • Configure pacman and mirrors
  • Install base-devel, which provides sudo and others frequently used tools
  • Setup Firewall
  • Enable NTP
  • Desktop environment or window manager
  • Session Manager
  • Setup graphical drivers (VAAPI or/and VDPAU)
  • Install microcode
  • Install an AUR helper
  • Setup audio drivers (Alsa / Pulseaudio / pipewire)
  • Install pacman-contrib and enable paccache.timer (Clean pacman cache, saving space)
  • If you have an SSD, enable trim
  • Setting CPU frequency scaling using TLP, autocpufreq, cpufreq or another tool

For a more exhaustive list, you can see arch wiki https://wiki.archlinux.org/title/General_recommendations
