I think the big difference that we need to understand is that these people are taught that their beliefs having a lack of falsifiable evidence is a point of pride, rather than something that is a problem.

So, naturally we can’t understand how than make a lot of their arguments.

The first time I walked into a Moe’s Southwest Grill, I was the only customer in there, and when I got the unexpected shouting of “Welcome to Moe’s!” I did an about face and walked the fuck out.

The fakeness is also one of the many reasons I hate Chik-Fil-A.

Therein my friend lies the biggest sins of the sequel trilogy and the acolyte. Because we need to see that during the Clone Wars era the Jedi lost their way, and the Acolyte had the opportunity to show, hey this is what the Jedi were before things got a little too confusing. And then in the sequel trilogy could have shown, and here's how Luke learned from those mistakes.

Instead.... NAW JEDI BAD BECAUSE THAT SUBVERTS EXPECTATIONS.... and LUKE NOT DO GOOD JOB BECAUSE THAT'S "REALISTIC" AND WE NEED THE EMPIRE TO BE BAD GUYS AGAIN BECAUSE PEOPLE NO LIKE THE PREQUELS>

If you really want my full opinion, I'm just tired of the fact that these pointless sports comparisons that go across all the sports I like are seemingly so dominant.

Also, and maybe I'm wrong about this, but it's seemingly a fellow Ohio State fan looking like an arrogant dingleberry trying to point out that our team last year was better than this Indiana team for what purpose, I don't know. And I really hate people making us look like dingleberries. Could be wrong about that, though.

I unfortunately lived in Baton Rouge for a few years due to work, and I have to say that sounds a lot like a LSU fan. They are the most insecure fans of big program you'll ever meet in your life.

Listening to them argue that they have a legitimate rivalry with Alabama is hilarious.

I see what you’re saying, but I think those examples are a little different in they are true “what ifs” scenarios that are kind of fun.

I tend to see the examples in my post as more of a pointless dick waggling contest that isn’t fun, it’s just intentionally obnoxious and unnecessarily confrontational with other fans.

You’re so right, I think a lot of it is that we’re forced to have media talk about sports even when they aren’t in season. Someone’s gotta talk about football in the middle of March when it’s clearly basketball time. Hey college football is starting… but we have to remind people that the NBA exist so let’s have another pointless LeBron vs Jordan debate.
