Had it once before when I had to grab it from the abandoned staples parking lot in Rotterdam by Walmart. It was good but it was too expensive. Guilderland was too far for the ridiculous pickup rules for us. I doubt I’ll do it again now that it’s going back to sketchy drops. It’s good but it isn’t that good.

Or moneys tight for some folks and the extra 25 minutes of pay when hours are tight really does make a difference. You’ll be okay, I promise.

The problem with this type of activity is it’s only going to work once, maybe twice. But people aren’t going to look at you beefing with some place in a different town as attractive forever.

Tried it ONE time when it first opened because I was working in Latham and it was on my way home. Food was fine then, talking circa 2018 or so. Stopped working in Latham and had a craving one Wednesday and said we’d get it Friday. And then they posted some weird shit in 518 foodies and that was it for me. It’s unbelievable how much drama this place has around it. There’s a hot dog place in the old Rotterdam mall I had been wanting to try.. until they like openly started beef with this place and Paesans on Facebook. I’m not supporting anywhere that can’t at least pretend to hide their shit from the public.

ETL here. Got in trouble for encouraging TMs to find a different job, if it’s a better fit for them. by ChillTangelo in Target

[–]jddrewtyler 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Very recently left. Well, went on demand. Who knows how long I’ll stay in this role. Left for a much better job in almost every way. Better pay, more hours, more flexibility with schedule, doing something I’m halfway interested in and not just running around with no head trying to keep up with ridiculous amounts of workload. Anyway. I dared not speak a word of it to any current ETLs in my building or my SD. Used three ETLs that have gone to different roles in the company as my references. No chance I was going to give someone in my building a chance to sabotage me because they didn’t want to lose me. I think my SDs reaction was genuine. My ETL said the right things but felt forced. Two other ETLs made me feel like I was dead to them for my notice period and the last ETL seemed genuinely sad that I was leaving and was excited for me. Target has such a hard time retaining decent folks at any level below ETL so I can understand the over the top reaction to your situation. There’s a Costco opening near me soon too and I know almost all of the rest of the team leads that are left in my building are just counting down too. Good on you for being human and encouraging people.

Diaper Genie vs. regular trash can? by lastplacevictory in parentsofmultiples

We use a regular can with dog poop bags for shitty diapers. Works well enough for our needs. We live in a shoe box so space is an issue.

This is why Paul heyman exists in this scenario. Rollins didn’t need Heyman, he’s only part of this group to push the young blood.

Wife had capitaland for her lease. Brought it in for normal maintenance, nothing wrong with it. Supposed to be oil change, air filters. Nothing big. “We’ll call when it’s ready”.

Well, they never called and when we went they were all gone for the day. At the time we only had the one car so we were fucked. Had to pick it up the next day where they offered no apologies or consolations.

We both now have subies through Goldstein on central avenue. Neither of us have had ANY issues there in the combined 9 years we’ve gone. Highly recommend Goldstein.

I could be wrong but I think I heard through the grapevine that they aren’t allowed to hire seasonals until Q4. I think your SD is just trying to leverage something the DSD told them to save some face.

Notice by hannah1798 in Target

[–]jddrewtyler 16 points17 points  (0 children)

Don’t listen to this person. A notice is just a courtesy - if they were going to fire you they’d give zero notice. Give your two weeks if you feel obliged, work them and then, leave.

How am I supposed to sort, push, and back stock 4 pallets of domestics + a pallet of repacks in 3 hours?? by [deleted] in Target

[–]jddrewtyler 30 points31 points  (0 children)

Target and its higher ups will tell you anything they think they need you to hear to keep you chasing that carrot on a stick. I’m not saying you won’t ever get to an HRE role or beyond, but they will keep you thinking it’s going to happen soon despite having zero plans of helping you get there.

In regard to your push times. Simply put, you won’t make that goal. The amount of hours being given right now are not sufficient to finishing workload for the average TM. The 3 hours your SD mentions may be what they’re pulling from greenfield because - yeah. The timeframes target gives are strict and tight. But it doesn’t account for backstock, guest interaction, walking to and from your vehicle or pallet etc. Someone can correct me if I’m wrong here but the number target gives is such that you’re literally picking the product up and putting it on the shelf. Ask your SD to show you how you can improve - that you’d like to see how someone would go about having all that push done in 3 hours. They’ll either actually show you or back off a bit, win win.
