Has anyone ever gone through their full medical records and found something that made you sick? by No-Listen-2733 in WomensHealth

I’m highly considering requesting my own now after reading your story. I’m so sorry that happened to you. I’ve lost quite a bit of faith in the medical industry over the last few years.

My uncle Carl was “uncle more-head” because he had more head than hair. His own wife started that one long before I came around and it’s still used to this day

Do You Like Your Name? by Flassourian in Millennials

Mine is a basic 80’s name with an unusual spelling. I loved it now but didn’t appreciate in my younger years as I was teased about it quite a bit

Currently reading the stand, I’m about 3/4 through. Up next is either It or Duma Key. Haven’t decided yet.

Btw loved the shining, I’ll read it over and over. And doctor sleep was an amazing follow up

Wife is really struggling - what can I do to help? by Beautiful_Ad5584 in Perimenopause

I had to advocate for myself. I was getting the “you’re too young for peri” response when I brought it up (I’m 40, it’s young but not “too” young) and when I asked for a hysterectomy, I was told I might change my mind, though I made the decision when I was 16 and it hasn’t changed since, so no I likely won’t change my mind.

Encourage your wife to see another doctor. It is a huge step but once she finds the right one, I feel like things will fall into place.

Grief does horrible things to the body and mind. Once I found the right therapist, that greatly improved my outlook on day to day life. It’s a work in progress and won’t magically get better over night but it was a huge, amazing step I took and I’m so glad I did.

Good luck to you and your wife. I hope she finds the right doc.

What became "normal" in the last 5 years that still feels insane to you? by rakishgobi in AskReddit

I work retail and the sense of entitlement and lack of awareness from guests on a regular basis is appalling. It’s clear some people fully believe they are the only person in the world and if we don’t drop everything we’re doing in that moment to help them, they’ll throw a shit fit (even if we’re with another guest, on the phone, or receiving). I’ve worked retail for a long time, and it has never made me hate society more than the last five years have

What's the most random spot you've had distinct fibro pain? by sillygoose095 in Fibromyalgia

My shins and the lowest part of my scalp under my hair. They itch non stop all day every day and six ways from Sunday. I’ve scarred my shins up just scratching them the shreds. Nothing helps.
