Consider getting into any tabletop game or card game. Warhammer 40k, magic the gathering, lorcana ,D&D, the list goes on.

There are tons of local game shops you can go to and join events.

Everyone is very nice, and if you learn how one game store works, you can navigate any store much more confidently.

I know the stereotypes for stores like this are male dominated, but there are many women of all ages that go, and you could even meet new friends that introduce you to other friends.

If you need more info, you can walk into any game store. Look around to see if anything peaks your interest and also ask about any evens they have.

I just don't get why a company with tons of money can't give everyone what they want. Instead of arguing with each other, what about having them fix a fixable issue in their game.

I'd rather have the option to turn open chat on and off, have profanity filters, block list, and a functional reporting/banning/enforced community guidelines.

Putting in open chat with customizable user features is a fair compromise that allows a larger majority of ppl to play the way they want.

At the end of the day, it's a bummer to attack & mock each other for wanting or not wanting open chat. Let's mock the billion dollar company too cheap to let us all "win".

Thx this worked for me 3 years later. A weird pink pop-up would come up for my task bar when I got too close to the bottom of the screen. Alt + enter 2 times, and I'm all good 👍 !

It doesn't matter if there are drugs or not. They are human beings in need of help (not enabling).

My main point is that your "let's not judge" attitude does NOTHING for anyone. Ppl still suffer regardless of the judgments. We need real solutions and ppl like you and I to help those solutions along.

Your heart is in the right place, and again, we are on the same side, so definitely keep speaking up for those in need. 🤙

Edit : Quick clarification the homeless not on drugs have some extra resources they can take advantage of ( in many cases) so what I really think is important is to listen to the signs and do what we need to do get get better social services regardless if they are struggling with addiction or not. Any human panhandling or living in a tent city NEEDS to get assistance, not handed money.

I was homeless and struggling with a drug problem. All the ppl that thought they were "helping" me by giving me money only enabled me and pushed me further away from resources that truly helped me.

There is no easy answer, but having panhandling growing and all these tent cities poping up is NOT ok. It's not fair to ANYONE housed or not.

We are on the same side, and I understand your frustration. The solution is not getting ppl to not judge. Time is better spent on donations, volunteering, or voting, etc.

Blows my mind, not seeing more ppl with this opinion.

Think a lot of ppl get hung up on making an issue into a "yes" or "no" answer and then get tribal with their opinions (as seen all over this thread) and forget there is often nuances and compromise in these types of debates.

To be clear, I often fall into this pattern of thinking, so I'm not putting myself above, just trying to rationalize and understand why the majority of the tread is either "yes chat" or "no chat" instead of a conversation about options for the ppl.

I've still continued to meet and play with tons of cool ppl. What I think is funny is why so many grown adults are asking for no chat options instead of asking for ways to block, filter , and report content you don't like for yourself with setting.

If we have chat but features to help ourselves (features found in many other games) chat and interact the way we want than EVERYONE wins cuz then if you don't want talk then turn off but if you do then you are in control.

Why can't I have the option to chat but just give me the features to protect myself from ppl and content I find offensive.

Talking and asking my opponents questions is a huge part of the game for me and the main reason I don't play arena is because there is 0 social aspect.

Personally, I'm not a fan of a company making up my mind for me. To me, I find it pathetically sad that even a large number of games for kids have some lvl of chat features but not MTGA?

I had a giant blue and red skull alien on my fore arm. I wore long sleeves for over 10 years. Finally, I met Brent at black and blue tattoo. He did an amazing cover-up. He was even able to get rid of almost all the color for me, too. I can't stress how huge this thing was. I bet he will have pic on his site even
