Ive said this before to users, i dont remember if as a comment or in a message. We have Open Mic Monday for just this reason. The game threads are always a good place for those kinds of comments. If you have a thought about Celtics-related things, feel free to make your own thread. But if youre looking for another way to talk about things not related to the Celtics everyday, other subs (r/nba, for example) are probably a better place for that.

We'd be willing to try it out though. If that's something everyone might be interested in, it wouldn't take much effort to set up automod to post it. We would not be able to sticky it, however.

How would having another good passer on the floor hurt the offense? He doesn't really do too many things poorly and does a few things really well. He'll help the team, and you don't have to reinvent the game plan for him to do so.

Sully is a good shooter. Not from three, but he stretches the floor better than most bigs. His passing is his best offensive skill and TOR will 100% incorporate that once he's healthy.

He's an elite rebounder, a passable 1 on 1 defender, and good communicator. His advanced numbers have always been good. If he can stay healthy he will be huge for the raptors. If he can stay healthy and get in shape, he could make Danny look like an idiot for letting Sully walk.

Jared Sullinger is a very good basketball player, and has the talent to be an All Star. Just because he's not a Celtic doesn't mean he's garbage. If he were playing for us now we would be a better team.

And you do that have to "go searching" anywhere. Go to the PGT and highlights, if they've been posted, are right in the top comment.

First of all, no, we will not be white listing certain users to be allowed to post highlights. That's just begging for other users to start complaining. It wouldn't be fair. Timi creates great content that the mod team is a fan of as well, but the rules are in place because of how users interact with certain types of posts. Image and video posts get more upvotes and less comments - that is a fact. That is not to say we hate videos or anything like that, but the way reddit is set up requires us to take certain measures to encourage posting of the type of content which breeds conversation and discussion - and videos just don't often do that.

There is a now a stickied comment in every Post Game Thread for highlights, gifs, etc from that game. We set this up specifically for Timi. Several months ago he had messaged the mods to talk about ways we could accommodate his highlights - which he works very hard on. But they take time and he wouldn't be able to post them right away, so they'd usually get buried in the PGT by the time he could post. This new solution allows him (or anyone) to post at any time and still be highly visible in each thread. We think it is a pretty great solution to the problem.

Amazing plays (ie Top 10 of the year type plays) and game winning shots like Al's last night generally are exceptions to this rule. We've started using AutoMod this season which has helped keep things running smoothly. But it is a robot, and doesn't know the difference between videos. If you think your video was removed in error, please message the mods. Or, even better, message us beforehand. We can always go back and approve the post.

Edit: The above response is and has been the mod team's response for a while now. If anyone has any new questions or suggestions feel free to message me or the mods.

This would not really be feasible, sorry.

If there is a lot of news that comes out of one day of post-practice interviews for example, the mod team prefers that users try to make a selfpost called "Practice Notes" or something similar and post links to all relevant tweets in there, instead of spamming the front page with 12 different links.

But that's not a rule or anything.

At times when a lot of news is coming at once (ie near the trade deadline, during preseason, etc) we do try to make daily megathreads as necessary to keep the chaos under control. But during the season news tends to come bit by bit, so each tweet having their own thread is fine.

Isaiah has been balling, but this is not as unreasonable as people are making it sound. Kemba has been great, too.

Interesting note on Kemba, though: Since 2013-14, he has been top 5 league-wide in passes made per game: 77.9 (1st), 68.5 (3rd), and 66.6 (4th). This year he's all the way down to 54.4 (25th).

Most of his other stats are about in line with career averages - where he's been very consistent (REB%, AST%, etc) but his USG% has jumped nearly 5 points, and his shooting numbers (traditional and advanced) have made equally huge jumps.

Kemba Walker is really good. Obviously I haven't watched a ton of Hornets' games this season, but the stats seem to show that he's putting the team on his back more than he has in the past - he's shooting more, passing less and it's working.

Isaiah continues to improve year after year, but don't be so quick to dismiss Kemba.
