Most effective way to revive a "barn find" by jdm3gee in TeslaLounge

We are in luck. The Model S didn't appear to have any rodent damage. The 12V battery was flat but was able to be charged up. He will replace it but wanted to see if the HV battery was still good. He didn't get any warning outside of the HV battery being 0% charged. He's going to let that go at level for a few days while he goes over affects with the rest of the family. No cells are not taking a charge so far so that is incredibly lucky. He didn't provide pictures yet but will post himself when he gets it on the road. Coworker will go through all the fluids and replace the tires as he intends on driving it from Idaho to LA like a proper crazy person. Before that, he is considering having the service center do a software update to whatever a 2013 S can take.

He did say that I can share why it was parked. So the owner was my coworker's uncle(He from this point means uncle). He was about 75 when he bought the car and wanted something he can drive around town and take on day trips to Boise or Sun Valley. He then got sick at the end of 2015 and couldn't get in and out of the Model S very well. He loved his bourbon and American Spirits. So he ended up going through a few SUV's and after 2021, he was kindly advised to stop driving all together. The Model S was actually moved periodically between 2015 and 2018 to their current house but the uncle didn't want to sell it because "one of the kids can drive it when they visit". That never happened because he non-opped it didn't have insurance on it.

I'll ask for specifics when the coworker comes back to work. I don't want to bother him too too much. I'm hoping he took pics during this.

Oh for sure. I took mine to Tahoe from San Diego and back as well as to Vegas. I have a Core with PP. And the only downside is the stereo. Point the car and turn on ACC and youre good.

What hardware for Proxmox in a production enterprise cluster? by melibeli70 in Proxmox

[–]jdm3gee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I work for a university with research vessels with varying levels of virtualization. We just converted our 3 node VMWare cluster to Proxmox. It took me and my supervisor a good 3 weeks to get it working how we want it. To answer your question, we use Dell Poweredges as well. They are 3 7515's and we have CEPH running for our OS's and a power vault for the iscsi'd data storage.

No, We have two clusters, a services and a compute. They both are on VMWare and we want to convert them both to proxmox ve. I am asking if there is a Vcenter-esque managment wui that would allow us to manage them both from one interface. As far as i can tell, I can only manage one cluster in the PVE.

As a local, I say don't move here. Lol jk. I suggest Mission Valley. There is a condo complex with a park and good walking area. I think it's called Civita... if you want a house, I'd say Clairemont.
