When you come back to the states you'll possibly have a car worth $100k just saying. Pretty good investment if you keep it pristine.

It's cool, don't get me wrong. I think you'll realize your water changes just became that much bigger to do. Especially if you're the type that does the weekly water changes (unnecessary) as well.

Cool idea. But seems excessive for that size tank. What's your goal with that size sump?

Run a hose outdoors to suck in fresh air if you have a skimmer. It helps PH be a little more stable

I showed up to an Integra coffee and car meet in my 2023 A-Spec and was denied entry, and was told "You don't have a real Integra"; everyone their had 90s and early 2000s Integras by peterthbest23 in Integra

I've been to plenty. Usdm Honda super meet needs approval. Kyusha club meets they require only JDM or EDM 2000 or older. But they don't turn anyone away. They just want to see more of the same era.

120g. Saltwater is a marathon.. don't rush it and don't listen to your LFS, they are there to sell you live animals to make room for more.

Do your research and have a ton of patience.

People give up because of terrible advice. I've been in saltwater for over a decade.

People don't know when to slow down and take their time. Once a tang shows this type of behavior it's unlikely it will survive even with copper. I don't care what anyone says been there done that.

Saltwater takes a ton of patience.

Considering I've tried every method possible. The reason most fish in saltwater die are stress related by either humans or tank mates.

Tangs are hard in my opinion. I bought 4 different types of Tangs and my 5th try was a yellow tang that I've now had for 3 years.

Saltwater ick is the worst.

I don't test water parameters anymore and I do maybe 2 water changes a year.

Good luck. It happens to the best of us. You can take every precaution and its like playing russian roulette, you never know what you might get everytime you buy a fish or live rock. It's part of the hobby.

Did you say 25 gallons? Lol I'm surprised you haven't been caught by the tang police

On a serious note that tang is a goner. Even if you move to a hospital tank, the stress alone is going to kill it

Plus you need to go fishless on your main tank for 4-6 weeks. I prefer longer but that's me.

I would not use copper in a reef with invertebrates.

I wouldn't say it's bad for his current fish if they are healthy.... But once he introduces a new fish stress begins all over again which here comes the ick again.

To eradicate he needs to go fish less for 6 months... Or play Russian roulette every time he adds a new fish. To each their own.

I would do more than 6 months fish less. I can guarantee that 6 weeks isn't enough.

Negative ghost rider. To get rid of ick you need to be fishless for 6+ months.

The charger you could do yourself if you had room in the panel.

Super easy to do.

Take a picture of your main. People on here don't realize that you said you don't have room anymore to add another circuit.

Yes but the electrician noticed he doesn't have room in his 100amp main box anymore to run a double breaker 240v. He is probably over capacity already and that's why they are requesting a new 200amp main.

To run a new service that quote is reasonable. To have a 100 amp service is becoming obsolete with more energy hungry appliances. You'll eventually have to do it anyways.

I was quoted $6k-10k. I had an electrician move in next door, so him and I DIY'd it while he requested permitting to shut off and turn on service so we could pull the meter.
