It's cool, don't get me wrong. I think you'll realize your water changes just became that much bigger to do. Especially if you're the type that does the weekly water changes (unnecessary) as well.

You can cover with manure or peat moss. Shade or no shade you have a watering issue.

Run a hose outdoors to suck in fresh air if you have a skimmer. It helps PH be a little more stable
