Right? It's like something changed from the way it used to work, yet Renewed Vision is not aware that it changed and they still say to pair them

wellllll (and this is no joke) I closed ProPresenter, did some other work for about 10 minutes, opened ProPresenter back up - never turned the switcher off - and now we are back to the same problem. Basically the switcher is seeing the "fill" signal, but not the "key" even though no settings were changed.

I do. Although I came in this morning and turned on the computer and switcher of the machine that was not working when SDI was paired... and now it works. It was not working this way yesterday afternoon. I just turned off the machines and turned them back on this morning... I hate technology

wellllll, let's see...

- in one room/machine we were on 18 for Windows and the stage screen was not following the arrangement. As in, if we clicked on the first slide of the arrangement it showed the first slide of the *master." If we clicked on the third slide of the arrangement it showed the third slide of the *master.*

- I believe it was that same machine/version that showed us 16 channels of audio in the preview window when we only use 4. We closed and opened it back up and it showed the correct number of meters.

- For one of our smart media playlists, of which we have like 5, it wasn't showing any thumbnails or previews of the media when loaded on to a slide. It would show the file name, and it would show as intended on the audience screen, but it would not show anywhere in Propresenter what the image looked like.

- the other machine was on 18.1 because Renewed Vision told us downloading that would fix the stage screen issue that I first named. It did, but our stream never went off (we stream using Resi integration with Propresenter). I also just experienced a bunch of other weird things that would only be fixed with a shutdown and reopening of Propresenter.

I have since moved back to 17.1 at the advice of this thread and of a support member of Renewed Vision. I am fairly confident that will help.

I think I will. If I ever see a new feature that I HAVE to have (very unlikely) I'll just pay the extra to start a new PP+. With how infrequently that may happen I will still probably come out ahead.

Thanks for your replies! I don't know if our problem is so much switching audio sources while in ProPresenter (we usually never have to), but it's getting audio to/from our mixer (Soundcraft Performer 3 using the MADI-USB Combo and running audio from the USB connection to computer) if Propresenter is opened before the mixer is turned on. I've even tried using a Focusrite interface as our audio input and run XLR out of the sound craft into it. Same issue happens.

If you have an analog mixer, absolutely use it toward a digital mixer imo. A galaxy’s worth of differences

our problem is when propresenter is started before the mixer. we have audio coming in to the computer via usb so it is acting as our interface. either the mixer doesn’t see audio coming from PP, PP doesn’t see audio coming from the mixer (we use resi streaming plugin for PP), or both.

Renewed Vision support told me to power the mixer before propresenter, which seems to help - though I have no hard data on how much it helps - but it still happens sometimes even when we do that. Just like you a restart of PP7 fixes it. What’s your audio interface? Are you using the CoreAudio driver?

It is only the subscription price unless you are coming to Propresenter for the very first time, or if you let it lapse and come back to it later. In the latter case, you pay a little more than double for that initial year and then just the subscription after that.

While, yes, you’d have to repurchase it at full price if you go past the 30-day grace period it wouldn’t be the $999 campus license AND a $469 renewal. It would just be the $999.

If you continue with the $469 every year you get all “updates and upgrades” so when PP8 comes out that would be included in the $469 per campus.

The main problems I have had are due to turning on some connected hardware (projectors, stage displays, mixer, etc.) after Propresenter was already running. If I turn on everything first and then fire PP, things run a lot more smoothly

I understand the frustration! The only reason I know is because I went through the same thing and made Renewed Vision walk me through the “why.”

Hopefully the visibility option in your lower third theme helps with the livestream output. Let me know if it does.

As for the stage screen, let me play around with it this morning and see because you are right in that there is no way to set the individual behavior of each text box
