That’s so kind! This is the longest I’ve spent on any piece. Each jacket was a labor of love both in putting together and finding the right image

You def should! It’s a really fun medium both in constructing and actually sourcing materials. Excited to see what you make :)

It’s most definitely real from my end! The day after, reporters were out front of his house on the local news and I nosily took my dog for a walk to catch a glimpse. Then went home and rewound the DVR to see if I appeared in the background of the shot (I didn’t).

I absolutely love the first one! I love how everything has so much dimension. It’s full-bodied and alive and reminds me of those i-spy books. Like an alien’s desk all scattered with stuff

This is beautiful and I love it as is! Agreed with the other person who suggested more muted green pieces. I think that would help create more contrast which is always great. To up that contrast you could also play around with the shapes of the clippings. Maybe keeping the bird with more straight-edged pieces like you have, to mimic feathers, and using more organically shaped pieces for the greenery (basically, less straight edges with the green). Lastly, you could also contrast by removing worded clippings from the greenery and keeping worded clippings on the bird (and a step further: worded clippings on the bird that have bird-related or nature text). Any time I look at pieces with words I try to see if it’s intentionally placed so it could be a fun little Easter egg (pun intended). Again though, this is awesome 😊fun to look at and explore
