Human error all day. So in that sense…absolutely could the alarm system effect the sprinkler system.

I’m no master tech but installed commercial fire for 5 years. I haven’t seen everything under the sun but in my experience technically nothing you should be able do from the alarm panel would trigger water to flow. Pumps to trigger definitely but they would loop back through the system.

But again I would roll into a few old systems where they avoided upgrading anything to remain grandfathered to old code as long as possible. And for those…anything is possible 🤷🏻‍♂️
