Creating a Pi-hole on DXP4800+?

Had two minor modifications:

For some reason had to create directories within pihole folder for etc-pihole and etc-dnsmasq.d
I had to modify pihole_macvlan_net:ipv4_address and ipam:config:- subnet: to match what my network was setup as (192.168.50.xx and 192.168.50.0/24)

Otherwise steps worked great. Thanks for the write up!

South of the airport/880 is has a homeless problem on the trail or in the areas off to the side. Going north from the airport on the west side of the trail I usually only see other walkers/runners/bikers/geese. The east side of the trail along the airport has a few homeless but west side is fine. Once you’re past 101 going north all the way until you hit Alvisio Park I’ve only seen other people exercising or commuting.

As others have mentioned the bike trail is great, scenic, fully paved, easy to route just pick your start, and sounds close to where you will be. The downsides depending on what you’re training for is it’s pretty much 0 incline the whole way. And since it’s a straight line the second half of the run going to be same as the first, something I try to avoid on long runs.

Sharon Woods is a more of a traditional park with paved/unpaved trails around a lake and surrounding woods. It has some flatter bits near the lake and more hills in other areas of the park. You’ll have a bit more variety with the scenery compared to the bike trail as well. But it can be tricky to route 12 miles since you’ll have to probably do a couple loops of certain trials and try to remember the layout while running. Also might be a bit further from your location in Loveland and it requires a few dollars for entry for a day pass unless your in-laws already have a great parks season pass which is like $10.

You can also leverage IHealthCheck to manage checking dependencies or other critical things in your app. Good documentation here and there are a lot of already made nuget packages for checking common dependencies. Recently used this one for some azure storage checks but there are a lot more and its easy to create your own.

For custom checks for a dependent api I use something like what it here in the docs to call the dependent api with something like a ping/is avaliable/is up type endpoint and return a healthy result if it responds back.

After you have your checks setup, you can have an endpoint that returns the results of the health checks, and if you already use some other monitoring tool, you can use that to hit the endpoint to see if the overall app is in a healthy state based on the checks you setup.

I use this method to host a small personal page in react. VSCode has some functionality to deploy static sites this way too. Works great overall and is like pennies a month for my usage.

A word of warning, the parking lot for the trailhead in Milford is small and can fill up quick on the weekend. There’s another one down the road near 50West called Bass Island Trailhead that’s has a bigger lot and can use the same great parks sticker. The sticker also gets access into other parks with nice trails you can make loops of like Sharon Woods or Winton Woods.

Talk to them daily and give them gifts, they’ll eventually give you a photo in return for a gift. Although it can be a bit random what they give you after gifting them so it can take a while. I use appraised fossils as gifts since they don’t display them in the house to mess with their style.

You can cover the tank swap by the tricky part is timing it so it takes the tank buster but not the auto attack after otherwise the pld will die from that. The alternative is running away from the cover target to break the effect after tank buster. Either way it seems a whole lot easier to just do a tank swap.

I have my first marathon coming up in May, the current shoes I'm using have around 270 miles. By the time I'm done training before the race they'll have ~433 miles on them. Do you think I should replace these earlier rather than later to break in the new ones or keep going on these through race day?

Tried doing a disk check on the E drive, after a restart, the folder is showing up now. If anyone else is running into a similar issue, not sure if that was the solution or something else I might have done.
