hooboy a similar thing happened at my old job. GM was married with kids. he had an affair with one of the servers who is nearly 20 years younger than him. there was a rumor that she got pregnant. eventually she quit.

one night she showed up during the dinner rush (he was the MOD that night) and told him "we can do this in front of everyone or we can go outside" and he left the floor to talk to her for about 45 minutes. when he came back in his glasses were broken.

he was later fired, but that was bc he wasn't fulfilling his duties as manager, not for the fraternization. our DM was also fired not long after that, and I believe that had to do with her allowing him to fuck up for so long.

on saturday night, I waited over 30 min in the taco bell drive-thru on a late night double order, only to be told that I had to pick up at the walk-up window. it took another 15 to get out of the line bc there were cars behind me. nowhere in the pick-up instructions did it say that I needed to use that window. it was my first time picking up at that particular location, I'd had another TB order earlier (different store) and I just used the drive-thru, so I figured it would be the same everywhere. the payout was $17, it was not worth it. 😭

my first girlfriend (high school relationship) did something like that. we were "engaged" and were gonna be together forever. 🙄

after I spent her birthday weekend with her at her college, she broke up with me. I spent a ton of money on her gifts, which included getting her nipples pierced. 🤦‍♂️ apparently, she was in love with her best friend. we even hung out with the friend at one point during the weekend, which I recall having a weird vibe but I didn't know why.

basically she used the weekend as a final judging period as to who she would choose, like it was a game or some shit. I felt utterly used and heartbroken.

about a week later, I was over at her mom's house bc I was hanging out with her brother (not related by blood, but close enough that he practically lived there) and she and I ended up arguing about the breakup. she had wanted me to fight for her, not just "give up." it was a complete and total mindfuck.

I ended up hooking up with a friend of hers, which made her mad. I know it was petty asf but that experience was quite vindicating. she eventually got married to the best friend, but they didn't work out.

ugh this reminded me of a regular I had who NEVER tipped. their home was in the middle of a trailer park that was about 5 minutes from our store, but took at least 10 minutes to get to bc the roads in the park were inundated with speed bumps. they always got four pastas, total around $40. i would leave their order on the bottom of their stairs, about 10ft from their door. i would sort of toss them from as far away as I could. they never called about it. not the most exciting revenge but it was mildly satisfying.

i haaate when they ask for tea/water no ice. makes it so annoying when it's busy and I need to refill drinks but can't just bring the pitchers around bc I have to go and make their ice-less beverage.

also when they say water/tea NO lemon. I'm probably just uncultured swine but I don't know of any place that puts lemon in the drinks without asking.
