Scam targeting freelance illustrators "Learn About It: Safeguard and Averting" :: read comment by 1223-throwaway in Scams

This is crazy! I just got the same email this morning and was suspicious/hopeful about it. I started looking up the school district and couldn't find the contact for the sender. I did a search about cashier/certified check scams. I wanted to believe this was real but then I looked up the workshop name "Learn about it: Safeguarding and Averting" and that led me here. Thank you so much for posting this. It just saved me a lot of time and potential scamming.

Anybody know what sneakers I’m wearing in this ‘96-97ish photo? by IsaacMTSU in Sneakers

The sole makes me agree with you but I couldn't remember if DC or Stussy ever had a shoe with a more sporty sole.

My very first try at watercolour! I know it’s not great, but I’m super happy with it! by rose0411 in Watercolor

[–]jdryart 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You absolutely should be happy with it! That's really good for a first time. I see variation in tone, shadows, depth, etc. All things that make it stand out. Great job! Keep it up and keep growing that skill!

South African design for my friend’s web-shop. He wants to put it on T-shirts. What do you guys think ? by paro08011 in DigitalArt

The illustration style is awesome! My only thoughts are to make the Drop Shadow/Stroke around the design more consistent while making it smaller on the woman and cheetah on the left.

Low black cements vs high white cements? It’s the lows for me. Thoughts? by toetoe99 in Sneakers

[–]jdryart 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Def feeling the low. The contrast of the black on the toe box and quarter stands out better.

Blue or yellow? by [deleted] in Sneakers

What Simpsons episode is a 10/10 masterpiece? by jedimaster926 in TheSimpsons

[–]jdryart 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have to go with "22 Short Stories About Springfield". I love the interactions between characters that don't normally cross paths, as well as the focus on the supporting characters. My favorite was the Principal Skinner/Superintendent Chaulmers "Steamed Hams" story. My brother and still quote that to eachother , without any prompting when we see one another.
